Absolutely Terrible Experience at Gavier Lake, Surat – A Total Waste of Time

This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at any so-called “tourist spot.” We reached Gavier Lake at 10:55 AM, well within the operating hours shown on Google (7 AM to 12 PM). But the rude, incompetent staff at the gate informed us that the entry was CLOSED at 11AM. Seriously? How can you close entry an hour before the stated closing time? Do they not understand what "timing" means?

We had driven 13-14 km to visit this place, expecting at least basic courtesy, but instead, we were met with sheer arrogance. When I told the staff member we came from far, his sarcastic and idiotic reply was, "Bas atla 10-15 km j." This guy clearly doesn’t value anyone’s time, effort, or fuel. Maybe he’s never stepped out of the lake himself and doesn’t understand the concept of driving even 10 km. The sheer audacity of such behavior is beyond frustrating.

The staff were not only clueless but downright disrespectful. They couldn’t care less about visitors who made the effort to come, and their unprofessional attitude ruined our day. They seem more interested in shutting down early and making excuses than actually doing their job properly.

To everyone in Surat: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME VISITING GAVIER LAKE. If this is how they treat visitors, they don’t deserve any. Their management is pathetic, and their staff clearly needs lessons in basic manners and customer service.

Important Warning: They close the entry at 11 AM, even though the Google timings claim the place is open until 12 PM. This is false advertising and an outright scam for people traveling from far away.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the timings and the distance from my home to prove how misleading and unworthy this place is. If you want to save yourself the frustration, avoid this place at all costs. It’s not worth your time, effort, or energy.
