Bhavik Jagad 13 reviews a week ago New It's best place to visit in Monsoon. But, car parking facility needs to be improved. Another thing is that it's open for all. So, parents must take care of children. Even I can't find any life saving boats over there if any drowning happens then local people may find way or heaven can...???? …More

This duo offers contrasting yet perfectly complementary experiences, making them absolute must-visits in Gujarat.
Gira Waterfall: Nature's Roaring Masterpiece The Star Attraction: Gira (or Gira Dhodh) isn't just a waterfall; it's a force of nature. Especially post-monsoon (September-February), witness its full glory as water plunges dramatically down a sheer cliff face. The sheer power, the thunderous roar, and the mist rising from the plunge pool create an awe-inspiring, almost primal spectacle. It's easily one of the best waterfall locations in the region. The Adventure: Reaching the best viewpoints often involves a moderate trek through lush greenery. The walk itself is beautiful, building anticipation. Wear sturdy shoes! The Experience: Standing near the base (safely, of course!) and feeling the spray, hearing the roar, and seeing the raw power is unforgettable. It's perfect for photographers and nature lovers seeking dramatic scenery. Best Time: Post-Monsoon (Sept-Feb) for maximum water flow and safer trails. Monsoon (June-Aug) can be risky due to slippery paths and high water volume.
Saputara: The Silent Sanctuary You MUST Visit The Escape: After the exhilarating energy of Gira, Saputara provides the perfect antidote. Perched in the Sahyadri hills, it's Gujarat's only hill station and lives up to its name ("Abode of Serpents," but don't worry, it's tranquil!). Silence & Solitude Found: If you "want to go for a silent location," Saputara is your answer. Unlike crowded hill stations, it retains a peaceful, unhurried charm. Think misty mornings, quiet walks through pine forests, serene lake views, and panoramic sunset points where the only sound is the wind. Must-Visit Highlights: Sunset Point: Breathtaking views as the sun dips below the hills. Saputara Lake: Gentle boating and lovely promenades. Art & Culture: Tribal Museum, Artist Village, Ropeway. Nature Walks: Explore the Step Garden, Gira Falls Viewpoint (different perspective!), or simply wander the quiet roads. The Vibe: Relaxing, rejuvenating, and deeply connected to nature. Ideal for couples, families, or solo travelers seeking calm.
The Perfect Pairing:
Visiting Gira Waterfall for its raw, thunderous beauty followed by unwinding in the serene embrace of Saputara creates a perfectly balanced getaway. You get the adrenaline rush of nature's power and the deep calm of mountain peace, all within easy reach of each other.
Verdict:
Gira Waterfall: An absolute must-see for its dramatic power and beauty. Prepare for a trek and go post-monsoon for the best experience. ★★★★☆ (Nature Spectacle!) Saputara: Essential for peace seekers. Truly one of the best "silent locations" – a tranquil hill station gem offering stunning views, gentle activities, and profound relaxation. ★★★★★ (Serene Escape!)
Recommendation: Combine them! Experience the roaring majesty of Gira Waterfall (best Sept-Feb), then ascend to the peaceful haven of Saputara to unwind, reflect, and soak in the mountain silence. This combo delivers the thrilling highs and restorative lows of a perfect nature escape. Don't...

Gira waterfall are a beautiful seasonal cascade situated in a verdant setting, about 50 km away from Saputara. This waterfall is formed by the watercourse of the Gira River after it falls from 75 feet high cliff. The water spills over the cliff at a very high speed, which creates conditions similar to dense fog. .........
On a clear day you can even spot a rainbow above the waterfall. With the arrival of the monsoon season, this falls experience a heavy flow of water and can be witnesses in its full glory. Owing to the unspoilt natural beauty and increasing popularity of the Gira Waterfalls, efforts are being made to turn it into a tourist hot spot. Breathtakingly beautiful around monsoon, these seasonal (only after rains) falls are among the most picturesque sights in the district. Located about 3 km from Waghai town, the Gira waterfall is a 30 m natural drop into the Ambica River. It is open to public and accessible by jeeps on hire..........
How to get there...........
By road: The town of Waghai is 51 km away. Ahmedabad: 409 km. Surat: 164 km. Mumbai: 250 km. Vadodara: 309 km. There are State Transport buses and private luxury coaches from Waghai and Ahmedabad. If you are coming by a private car, than National Highway might be quicker, but the state highway will offers a stunningly scenic drive. ...................................?......................... By rail: The nearest railway station is Waghai, on the Billimora-Waghai narrow gauge section of the Western Railway. For those coming from Gujarat via Surat or Ahmedabad or even from Mumbai, Billimora is the more convenient rail head, and a direct bus service is available from there.
By air: The nearest airport is Vadodara, 309 km away.....
One of the most amazingly picturesque spot in Gujarat on the way to Saputara....Especially when the monsoon season is on pick, one can get a huge & dense waterfall view..............
