Jambuvati Gupha — Attraction in Gujarat

An interesting place related to Bhagwan Krishna. It is an underground cave like structure where access is through a spiral stairway from the ground. One has to climb down around 20 ft to reach this underground chamber. The stairway is steep and provision of dangling ropes is there to balance oneself. The cave is almost 100 ft long and around 40 ft wide, with low rock ceiling. There is ample arrangement of light and ventilation. In the cave there are many naturally formed shivlings which are worshipped. One can easily walk inside cave but for old people getting into and coming out through stairway can be difficult.

This is cave where Jambvant used to live. Here fight between Krishna and Jambvant over syamantak mani took place over many days. After realising Krishna is none other than Ram of Tretayug , Jambvant not only gave syamantak mani to Krishna but also married his daughter...
