It's an ancient fort existing since many years. Built by the great emperor of Ahmedabad Ahmed Shah. Later it was taken over by the Britishers who took all the ancient belongings such as diamonds, coins, jewelery etc from this fort. A myth about this fort that it has an long secret tunnel which leads directly to the forts of Junagadh. This tunnel was mainly used for transporting important goods and it was mainly used for escaping women's, childrens and elders in case of any emergency during the war.
