45 minutes of boat ride worth of experiencing mighty Sardar Sarovar Dam and vastness of Narmada River.

Surprisingly not many of tourists aware of this hidden gem as tourist attraction.

Ticket cost is ₹413 per person and could be booked online and at boat jetty. Pickup from shuttle bus stand is free and it takes 15 minutes ride across Dam, reservoir banks and this travel itself is worth of separate tourist attraction.

This boating area is at one of Sardar Sarovar Dams largest reservoir with depth upto 95meters and this make sense why this Dam could provide lifeline water to most of dry Saurashtra region. In fact, while I traveled to Bed Dwarka at Okha, my local auto driver told me that his village getting Narmada water through sea pipelines.

Tourists allowed to move around to take photography.

Boat guide informed best time to visit is July to November. We visited on April, yet this place is attractive.

Sea plan services seem to be stopped due to nagging technical issues. But boat guide told us that, it could resume services.

I found Boating house 'Oyo Ekta' which has only two rooms. It might be expensive, but dream place to stay for honeymoon and nature lovers. You could see that one of uploaded video.

Boat ride is safe, Senior Citizen friendly boarding, less crowded as only tourists with tickets are allowed to enter this restricted area.

Presently i took the 45-minute Nauka Vihar boat ride at the Statue of Unity, and it was a delightful experience. The covered boat offered plenty of shade, making it comfortable even during the day. As we gently glided across Panchmuli Lake (Dyke-3), melodic Bollywood songs played softly in the background, adding a fun, cultural touch to the serene atmosphere.

The panoramic views were breathtaking—lush greenery, rolling hills, and the grand statue peeking through the landscapes. The ride gives a unique vantage point of the statue and its surroundings.

The staff on board were friendly and helpful. One review mentioned how a guide made the trip even more enjoyable, and I felt the same—attentive service that added warmth to the overall experience.
