The Shebhar Goga Maharaj temple is situated approximately 33 kilometers away from Palanpur and about 18 kilometers from Vadgam, both located in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat. My visit to this temple was truly an enchanting experience.

When going from Ahmedabad to Palanpur via Kheralu, Shebhar village comes on the way. It is situated at a distance of 130 km from Ahmedabad. Here is the temple of Lord Seshanarayan, the god of the underworld. Mythological and historical significance is attached to this temple. The god Sahastra Fendhari temple here, worshiped as Goga Maharaj of Shebhar, is still alive here. This seven-fanged idol of Goga Maharaj was installed by Bhakta Chowdhury farmers under this huge wadla. Since then people worship and worship Goga Maharaj with devotion and this place is known as Shebhar. Lord Shankar worships Vishnuji. Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh are seated in that head. It is said that his entire family is in this Vadla. Dev is seated as Seshanarayana. His worship is similar to the worship of Lord Shiva. Many idols of Goga Maharaja are made in Shilpakala inside and outside this Goga Maharaja temple. The entire temple is seen in a different scene.

અમદાવાદથી વાયા ખેરાલું થઇ પાલનપુર જઇએ ત્યારે રસ્તામાં શેભર ગામ આવે છે. તે અમદાવાદથી 130 કિમી દૂર આવેલું છે. અહીં પાતાળના દેવ શેષનારાયણ ભગવાનનું મંદિર છે. આ મંદિર પાછળ પૌરાણિક અને ઐતિહાસિક મહત્વ જોડાયેલું છે. શેભર ના ગોગા મહારાજ તરીકે પૂજાતા અહીંના દેવ સહસ્ત્ર ફેણધારી મંદિર હાલ પણ અહીં જીવતું જાગતું જોવા મળે છે.

આ સાત ફેણવાળી ગોગા મહારાજ ની મૂર્તિની સ્થાપના આ વિશાળ વડલા નીચે ભકત ચૌધરી ખેડુતોએ કરી.

ત્યારથી લોકો ભક્તિભાવથી ગોગા મહારાજ ની પૂજા અચર્ના અને ભક્તિ કરે છે અને આ સ્થળ શેભર નામે ઓળખાય છે આ મૂર્તિ સ્વયં વિષ્ણુભગવાનની મૂર્તિ છે અને વડલાની અંદર શંકર બેસેલા છે. શંકર ભગવાનનું પૂજન વિષ્ણુજી કરે છે. તે વડામાં બ્રહ્મા,વિષ્ણુ,મહેશ વિરાજમાન છે. એમ કહેવાય છે કે આ વડલામાં તેનો સમસ્ત પરિવાર છે. શેષનારાયણ રૂપે દેવ બિરાજમાન છે. તેની પૂજા શિવજીની પૂજા સમાન છે.
