Botanical Garden is a large (24-hectare) garden with 1,400 varieties of plants from all over India. The amateur nature lover can marvel at different varieties of bamboo like the Chinese Bamboo, Golden Bamboo, Beer Bottle Bamboo, etc. and enjoy strolling along the beautiful walkways each lined with different species of tree. Visitors can also pick up cactus plants and enjoy a picnic at the picnic spot in the garden. Permission is required to enter. Drinking water and toilet facilities are available. Story on Botanical Garden: Halund was given the status of a mystical plant, worshipped by the native people of the forest of Dangs. This provoked everyone to conserve the indigenous species Vigna vexillata. It is our pleasure to mention that many research scholars from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda with equal support from the forest officials of WBG took this utmost essential initiative of conservation of Halund, given the fact that it is a highly nutritiously beneficial plant. Where and how to reach? Waghai is a town in the Dang District of the southern part of Gujarat state in India. And also Taluka of dang district. Waghai is about 32 km west of the district headquarters of Ahwa, and about 52 km north-west of the hill station of Saputara. Vansda, Chikhli and Bilimora are located westerly. It is linked by state highway to the town of Chikhli (where the road meets National highway 8), and by a narrow gauge to the town of Bilimora. Also with Saputara a NG passenger train named. Waghai Passenger link these towns of south Gujarat.

The Audio Guide at Waghai Botanical Garden (WBG) offers visitors a captivating and informative experience with its three distinct routes, each narrated in three different languages. What sets this audio guide apart is its ability to deliver a wealth of knowledge in verbal mode, offering insights into the medicinal properties, historical context, origins, and even the mythological significance of the various plant species within the garden. Waghai botanical garden in June✨

Nestled in the serene Dangs district of Gujarat, the Waghai Botanical Garden is an absolute paradise for nature lovers like me. Located just about 7 kilometers from Ahwa town and around 325 kilometers from Surat, this lush sanctuary is well worth the journey.

I absolutely love this place. The moment you enter, you're greeted with an incredible variety of trees, shrubs, and plants—many of which are used in Ayurvedic medicine. It’s like walking into a living encyclopedia of natural healing. You’ll find everything from medicinal herbs to rare and ancient tree species, all thoughtfully labeled and beautifully maintained.

But it's not just about the plants. The atmosphere is calm, rejuvenating, and filled with the sounds of birds chirping in the canopy above. If you're lucky, you might even spot a few exotic species flitting around. It's the kind of place where time slows down and your heart feels full.

Whether you're into botany, Ayurveda, birdwatching, or just looking for a peaceful retreat in nature, Waghai Botanical Garden is a must-visit. It’s not just a garden it’s an experience, a breath of fresh air, and a reminder of how beautiful and healing our natural...
