Read moreI visited Lohagarh Farms with my office colleagues last weekend, and we had a pretty good time. The farm is situated in a picturesque location, with rolling hills and green fields as far as the eye can see. Though it was on the outskirts of Gurugram but you can easily get conveyance for and from there if not going by your own vehicle. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome with "dhol" and "traditional haldi teeka" with a refreshing glass of nimbu pani, which set the tone for the rest of the day.
We started our day with a buffet of tasty breakfast and then leisurely walked around the farm, taking in the sights and sounds of rural India. The highlight of our visit was the camel ride, tractor ride, zipline and Cricket which was a lot of fun. We also enjoyed the bullock cart ride, which gave us a glimpse into rural life.
The lunch at the farm was decent, with a variety of traditional Indian dishes to choose from. The Bajra Khichdi was superb. But I was a bit disappointed with the Bajra and Makki roti on chulha with sarso saag, kadhi, chatni. It was not up to the mark in taste, although prepared by women from rural backgrounds. We enjoyed the taste of sugarcane blocks which reminded me of my childhood. The tea, coffee, jalebi, milk, pakore, pizza, bhelpuri, gulab jamun were available for the whole day.
There was traditional poshak and pagdi for clicking pictures. Children can enjoy the magic of the magician and can play marbles.
One thing that could be improved is the Dancing place and DJ sounds. The crowd at the place was of mixed kind.
Overall, our experience at Lohagarh Farms was enjoyable, and we would recommend it to others looking for a relaxing day out in the countryside. While it's not perfect, the farm has a lot of potential, and with a few tweaks, it could be a truly exceptional destination.
Pros: Beautiful location and scenery Fun activities Cons: #-Limited activities and amenities #Could benefit from more amenities like a pool or spa #-Some areas of the farm could be better maintained #Taste of food could be improved Tips: -#Go early in the morning to avoid the heat #Wear comfortable shoes and clothes #Bring sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun Pack yourself with enough clothes in winter as the place is open and you will feel more cold due to chilled air. #Don't miss the tractor, camel and bullock...
Read moreWe visited Lohagarh Farms on Jan 1st. We were expecting crowd but against our expectations, we saw double the number of people over there. Instead of this, they managed it quite well. No food shortage, nice and clean washrooms etc. Coming on to tickets, pros and cons.
Tickets: I tried a lot but I was not able to get any deals so I ended up paying the actual ticket price i.e., 1100 per person. I don't know whether it was due to New Year or they usually don't offer any discount. I booked my tickets from there website. It is easy and quick.
Pros - Paisa wasool entertainment for your family. We went in a group of 11 so it was more than awesome. Food was epic. I didn't expected this. Nice taste, variety. Yes, pakoda could be better but overall it was better than expected. Activities were good. Some activities were missing which is being provided by other Farms like madhavgarh. For ex ropeway. I don't know the exact name so pardon if I am wrong with the Name here. Nice clean playgrounds.
Cons- You should have your private vehicle for ease of transportation. If you arrive on cab, please note that you might not get a cab to return. In that case, you need to go to the counter and ask them for a cab. They will provide you the number of local cab drivers. Once you enter the premises, you are on your own. No maps, no guides, no help. Wax museum was closed and I don't know how long they will keep it closed. I was expecting a camel ride. On camel's back. But they gave us camel cart ride. DJ was poor. Sound was too loud and the quality was too poor. Disappointed with it. Haunted house was more funny and not at all scary. So don't expect 7D haunted house like thing over here.
This was my experience. I am not generalising that it would happen with everyone. It might be the case that because of excess crowd on the new year eve they were unable to take care of some arrangements. Me along with my family enjoyed a lot. Full paisa wasool. You can definitely give it a try and you won't regret.
Thanks for reading!! I hope my review must...
