First and foremost.. accessibility to this museum is not easy. A moderately active person will take at least 10 to 15 mins to walk uphill n reach this place. An old Russian woman interested in visiting this museum had to pass it because physically it was too difficult for her to walk the steep path.
Secondly , Lunch time is from 1 to 1:30 pm so you will be asked to leave the museum at 1 and return at 1:30.
The intent of the museum is fantastic. The upkeep is satisfactory too but the lack of knowledge of staff about the place and the very little, often repeated write ups leaves visitors confused n unsure. I would have given this place higher stars because of the sheer will of the trust to keep this memory going.
The low stars are because of the callous attitude of the staff. Except for the staff at the ticket counter who appeared courteous and were performing their duties well, rest of the staff appeared to be there to earn their easy government salary.

Lady at the Urusvati museum ( the building that hosts George Roerich's office) - her name was "Soma Rani Sharma" was actually lying down on a bench a little away from the entry door of the museum n demanded I show her the ticket at her place of "rest" despite the fact that I was panting from the uphill climb. When I told her that I have never seen a museum staff lying down on a bench while 'on duty' she simply said there are CCTVs everywhere n when the management does not have a problem , I am no one to object about this. When I asked for a complaint book or her employee id she simply refused to share it.
All in all, I hoped for a better experience here which I...
