Sheetla Mata Temple Gwalior — Attraction in Gwalior

One story says Goddess Durga has incarnated as little Katyayani, the daughter of sage Katyayan to destroy all arrogant evil demonic forces of the world, in her real form as Durga, she killed many demons that were sent by Kaalkeya.

A demon named Jwarasur, the demon of fever, started spreading incurable diseases to Katyayani's childhood friends, such as cholera, dysentery, measles, smallpox etc. Katyayani cured the diseases of some of her friends. To relieve the world from all fevers and diseases, Katyayani assumed the form of Shitala Devi. Each of her four hands held a short broom, winnowing fan, jar of cooling water and a drinking cup. With her power, she cured all the children's diseases. Katyayani then requests her friend, Batuk to go out and confront the demon Jwarasur. A battle ensued between the young Batuk and demon Jwarasur. Jwarasur succeeds in defeating Batuk. Then, Batuk, lying dead, magically faded into dust. Jwarasur was shocked that Batuk disappeared and wondered where he went. Then, what he doesn't know that Batuk has assumed the form of an awful male figure. This person was three-eyed and had four arms. He held a battle-axe, sword, trident and demon head. He was pitch-black in color. His hair was flowing. Eyes blazed with fury. This figure wore a tiger-skin and a garland of skulls. Batuk assumed the form of Lord Shiva's ferocious form, the terrible Bhairav. Bhairav reprimands Jwarasur and tells him that he is the servant of Goddess Durga (incarnate as Katyayani). A long discussion ensued but then converted into battle. Jwarasur created many demons from his powers but Bhairav managed to destroy all of them. Finally, Bhairav wrestled with Jwarasur and killed him...

It is like heaven . According to me , everyone should visit there with their family to enjoy . I think every temple is beautiful . Atmosphere is like that as you want to visit temple . you can walk there and nice place to yoga and meditation . Atmosphere in morning is very nice . No one can imagine the atmosphere of there . You can worship there . Very holy temple . You can also come with your parents . You can have food and you can get . My experience is also good so . I have recognized the place . I ensure you all that this was great nice . You will be acquainted about temple . You will be motivated by going there . And your heart will not say you to migrate from there after visiting there . So , I am consolting to you all . after reached there you will not care about anything. 🙏जय शीतला माता 🙏 नवरात्रि की शुरुआत के साथ मध्य प्रदेश में ग्वालियर जिला मुख्यालय से 25 किलोमीटर दूर सातऊ गांव के घने जंगलों में विराजमान मां शीतला के मंदिर पर बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालुओं का आना शुरू हो गया है। यह मंदिर घने जंगलों में होने के कारण यहां पर जंगली जानवरों का खतरा अक्सर बना रहता है। लेकिन आज तक किसी भी जंगली जानवर ने किसी श्रद्धालु या भक्त पर कभी हमला नहीं किया है। मंदिर के पुजारियों के मुताबिक कभी यहां पर पत्थर के सात टुकड़े हुआ करते थे लेकिन आज यहां पर एक विशाल मंदिर है। घने जंगलों में मौजूद मां शीतला के मंदिर में डकैतों का भी आना जाना काफी रहा है। ग्वालियर चंबल क्षेत्र के कुख्यात डकैत भी यहां पर आकर सिर झुकाया करते थे। डकैत यहां पर घंटा चढ़ाने आते थे। इसी के साथ पुलिस और प्रशासन के बड़े-बड़े अधिकारी भी मां शीतला के दरबार में आकर सिर झुकाते हैं। यहां आने वाले हर शख्स की मनोकामना पूरी होती है। मां शीतला के मंदिर में परंपरा है कि यहां पर स्थित झूला झुलाने से जिस महिला की सूनी गोद होती है, वह भर जाती है। माता के मंदिर के पास बड़ी-बड़ी पहाड़ियां हैं। माना जाता है कि यहां पर अगर पत्थरों से प्रतीकात्मक मकान बना दिया तो भक्तों के अपने घर का सपना भी मां पूरा कर देती हैं। मां शीतला के दर्शन करने के लिए श्रद्धालुओं की जमकर भीड़ उमड़ती है। श्रद्धालु आसपास के गांव से लेकर शहर तक से पैदल चलकर मां के दर्शन करने के लिए पहुंचते हैं।ग्वालियर चंबल इलाके में लाखों की संख्या में लोग दर्शन करने के लिए पहुंचते हैं। खासकर सोमवार और शुक्रवार के दिन यहां पर भक्तों का मेला लगता है। इसके साथ ही नवदुर्गा उत्सव के दिनों में माता रानी के दर्शन करने के लिए लंबी-लंबी लाइनें मंदिर के बाहर सुबह से लेकर रात तक दिखाई देती हैं। यहां पर बड़ी संख्या में पुलिस अधिकारी भी तैनात रहते हैं। नवदुर्गा उत्सव के दिनों यहां पर भव्य मेले का भी आयोजन किया...
