If you give this place a miss, you wouldn't have missed much..!! Inadequate parking, poorly designed entrance, FILTHY TOILETS at the entrance greet the visitors..!! Suggestions/Complaint Book not available at the entrance/ticket counter. Told that it's kept in DFO Office across the road. The park itself has an all pervading stench which makes you feel sick and is poorly maintained. The animals too, look sick. Had to return back after 100mtrs. Please note that, once you enter, the Exit is only after 900mtrs and the walk is not easy. The souvenir counter at the entrance was unwelcoming, full of dust and nearly empty. On asking for sales staff, a disinterested sales-girl finally came from the ticket counter. Plain DISINTERESTED..!! She had to be coaxed into showing the items available for sale. Only one piece each of woven and knitted muffler/stole was available, priced at Rs 800 & 1200, which she dissuaded us from buying...!!! Small eateries and curio shop's line the only road. HP tourism restaurant gave some relief in terms of space. The wash room was poorly maintained. Not even a soap dispenser. Remnant of a soap cake served the purpose. Food was passable. Chicken Masala dish made us exercise finding chicken pieces..!! Noodles were OK. The saving grace was 🍺 beer, only kingfisher and tuborg. Opted for tuborg, thankfully it saved...
