This place is really cool you must not forget to carry jacket when you visit here temperature drops down to 8 or even less than that during day time. You will enjoy vegetation around and experience and witness that with the height vegetation changes and this place is known for medicinal herbs. Don't oro walk bare if you visit this place as per local some of your diseases will get away if you walk bare feet unfortunately we came to know about this when we came back but we did experienced this as some local lady gave some small plant that as per her keep on giving fragrance for 4 to 5 years. Visit this place before monsoons and don't forget to check before visiting as you won't be able to enjoy in rainy day due to lot of fog and clouds. Around 20 to 25 km road is not metled so be ready to drive off road I went by i20 so it's not a big issue, I have seen others going by alto also so you can reach by any car that's not a issue. One of the untouched places where tourist overenthusiasm has not yet destroyed the sanctity of the place, "yet". The pass remains close in winters due to snowfall and is open for private vehicles by April. Only 2 or 3 govt authorized kiosks operate at top of pass. They provide paid tent and beddings and provide food too. Temperature at night touches zero even in peak summers so don't visit without preparation.
