A beautiful temple nestled in the lap of nature. Surrounded with deodar trees and peacefully located in the centre of the mountains. Famous with its name as one can read Giri Ganga... One can easily access this place from the main road through vehicle and also by foot. It's around 6.1 kms from the main road till the temple. Pure jungle ride and I suggest during rainy season one needs to get good vehicle 4X4 to avoid sticking in the mud as the road is raw and turns into mud and slippery. One can take dips in the Ganga water here too. Locals are mostly visiting the place almost throught the year but yes the roads get closed during winters due to heavy snowfall from december - February. I will not advise untrained drivers to drive on this road as it's a narrow road and hardly any margin for error. Posting a few photos will give you a glimpse of the place as in how it is and what it is. Enjoy the nature and the surreal surroundings with your family and friends as this place is so much beautiful and so much real.

Read moreIt is a serene temple located in higher reaches of Shimla district, located about 7 km from kharapather ( on the way to hateshwari mata temple) . It is said to be the originating place of river giri ganga ( a tributary of yamuna river). The best place to visit would be in late spring or summer's. The road from kharapather is unpaved, narrow, hilly and filled with potholes but you forget all of it when you reach the place. It does not have a resort, hotel or restaurant but is a good spot if one likes to enjoy untouched nature. Tea and maggi may be available at a local dhaba. There is a small pool where one can bath before entering the temple. Another Kali mata temple is located upside. One can trek from here to kupad, about 4 to 5 kilometres to enjoy vast grassy green lands located at the mountain top.
A little request : if u ever visit please help maintain the cleanliness and...
