Lord Shiva Statue, Khajjiar, Himachal Pradesh — Attraction in Himachal Pradesh

We visited here during Dusshera, 2024. Absolutely peaceful and serene. It has got some breathtaking views of the valley. It falls on the way of going to Khajjiar (also fondly known as mini Switzerland) from Dalhousie. The temple is dedicated to God Shiva (The Destroyer). The statue is built quite well and quite huge as well. During Shivaratri this temple is being visited by a lot of crowds from near and far. You will also see lot of paraglidings happening around this area and if interested you can even opt for it. This should be a must stopover in case you are planning to visit Khajjiar. Few small shops are there nearby. Additionally there is a small parking space which can accommodate 3-4 cars, so in case if you are visiting in a four wheeler kindly look for parking accordingly as the space by the road is also quite narrow. An awesome place. A tall 80 feet statue of lord shiva surrounded by snow clad himalayas, breathtaking view. This is must place in khajiar along pilani devi temple (dainkund peak), kala top, khaji lake. This places isn't even coming up when one tries to find nearby attractions. So believe me, visit this place. Note that this place is not on the dalhousie to khajiar road, its on chambal Khajjiar Road for people directly coming to Khajjiar, skipping dalhousie. This chamba Khajjiar Road is stunning itself, one of the top five ghat roads, can be comparable to leh, spiti, etc but not at same ma on same chamba magnitude. I recently visited the Lord Shiva Temple in Khajjiar and it was an absolutely breathtaking experience! The 82-foot statue of Lord Shiva is awe-inspiring, surrounded by majestic mountains and lush greenery. The scenic views are simply stunning!

The temple itself is serene and peaceful, providing a perfect setting for spiritual reflection and connection with nature. I felt truly blessed to have visited this sacred site.
