Shri Kalinath Kaleshwar Shiva Temple/ Mandir situated in Village Pragpur, District Kangra, Himchal Pradesh. In the local area it is famoustly refered to as Kalesar, Kaleshwar Mahadev. It is amongst the oldest temples.

This temple is also known as Kalesar or Kaleshwar mahadev and Lord Shiva worshipped here is believed to be Maha Rudra of Mata Chintapurni. During Shravan month (July – Aug) as well as on Maha Shivratri, a large number of devotees from nearby area’s comes to pray their God Lord Shiva. This temple is having history of Satyug era. It is believed that in Satyug, on request of all Gods, Mahakali being one of Ten Mahavidyas, destroyed Jalandhar and other demons. When after their destruction mahakali’s anger did not diminish, Lord Shiva himself laydown on the battlefield in front of Mahakali. As soon as angry Kali’s foot fell on Shiva, she became calm.
