Read moreWe visited the Krishna temple on 22 December 2024. The total trek distance is about 12 kilometres. It's a moderate level trek it can take approx 5-6 hrs onside depending upon your fitness and the climate conditions. There are two camp base available just 40 minutes below the temple. They offer tents and food at a reasonable price the people who manage the camp are very humble and there can be shortage of tents so plan accordingly. The fresh water is available through streams in case you want to make your own food.
Trek plan 1 :- You can stay in camp and get darshan on next day early morning but in winter the temperature at night drops to -16 to -20 the water freezes quickly.
Trek plan 2 :- The alternative option is to start trek from base village Yulla Khas as early as possible around 4 or 5 am visit temple in the afternoon eat food from the camp and start descending because the sunsets by 5 or 6 pm its only recommend to people who are physicaly fit.
Pro tip:- only carry essential items while trekking. While I was descending I have scene many people carrying 80 ltr bags fully charged with excitement but they gonna realize there mistake soon.
The day before trek we stayed in a cosy and traditional wood house whith attractive scenic beauty view that offers homemade super delicious hot food at a reasonable rate. Very humble people...

But let me be clear—this is not a place for parties or loud celebrations. Please respect the surroundings and local traditions. The journey to the temple is a 12 km trek from the village Yulla Khas. It begins with the first 1-2 km steep staircase that can be quite exhausting. But don’t worry, water is available through natural streams in every couple of kms and the beauty of the trek will keep you motivated. Start your trek early in the afternoon from the base village. Make sure to book your camp stay in advance—there are campsites located about 4 km before the temple, offering a peaceful night under the stars. Wake up around 4 AM and begin the final leg of your trek in the dark. Reaching the temple at dawn offers a breathtaking view of the sunrise and a peaceful spiritual experience. Once the sun is up, the climb becomes significantly tougher due to the heat and steep incline—so trust me, the early start...
