Dussehra Maidan — Attraction in Indore City

Dussehra maidan is basically for the annual dussehra festival. It is an open ground with boundary wall and huge entry gates. Children enjoy playing here. The Maidan hosts some sports clubs as well. Nice place for the walkers and joggers. Now it's renovating ,a good place or ground for collecting any community in huge quantity at one place, for celebrating the fest as wel as for dusshera "as it is famous for" Its a very good place in indore. Many organisations.. Organise the events there only... Recently.. Patrika group organized the new year carnival. Its also a good place to learn driving and also for walking... Open ground at Annapurna Road for celebrating Dussehra and ground is also being used for bike racing, cricket and other sports events. Now a days boundary wall work is going on, still lots of events also going on at this place. This is one of best location in Indore City ,Every Year on occassion of Dashehara RAVAN DAHAN ceremony celebrated here. This place is usually crowded in dussehra day. Dashahara Maidan:

A beautiful and historical open ground in Indore City, especially kept reserved for a very old tradition called Dashahara (Dussera Or also known as Vijay Dashmi) since the times of Holkar Dynasty. The Holkar Kings used to come to this place every year on this auspicious day "Dashahra" on a chariot from their royal palace called Rajbada to perform this one of the most propitious rituals of India, which symbolises the destruction of the Demon Raavan by the King Shri Raam. In this most famous ritual a Mannequin of Raavan is made, filled with fire crackers, which is put to fire 🔥at the end of the ceremony. And this is how every year Dashahara ( Vijaya Dashmi) is celebrated in India. Dashahara Maidan has been a beholder of this this historic event every year when thousands of people gather here to celebrate and enjoy this victory for many many centuries.
