Photography: Allowed Pets in Kishan Bagh: Not Allowed Parking at Kishan Bagh: Available About Kishan Bagh Jaipur Kishan Bagh is a very beautiful and attractive tourist destination in Jaipur. Very few people know about this Kishan tiger. Due to fewer people knowing about it, very few people reach here to enjoy its beauty. Spread over an area of 30 acres, this garden is very attractive and beautiful. There is a shade of beautiful stones and trees.

With the passage of time, due to the efforts of the Jaipur Development Authority, the transformation of Kishan Bagh went on. Shrinking in the pages of history, Kishan Bagh is today swaying with the beauty of the lush green trees. With the passage of time, the more beautiful Kishan Bagh is becoming, the more tourists are reaching here in large numbers. There is crystal clear water all around this pleasing Kishan bagh which adds to its beauty.

Time passed slowly. Then in January 2016, Jaipur Development Authority contacted a good environmentalist Pradeep Krishan, he was shown this land and asked for advice on how to develop this big baron land as a public park. It was with the help of Pradeep Krishen that a difficult place like Rao Jodha Park in Jodhpur was reconstructed. After that, he was entrusted with the task of refining and redeveloping the beauty of Kishan Bagh.

Which was to be developed as a natural desert landscape.

Along with Pradeep Krishen, a great architect, Golak Khandual, also contributed significantly to the beautification and development of Kishan Bagh. He put a new life in Kishan Bagh Jaipur. With the help of artificial and natural resources, this garden has been made very beautiful. The result of their efforts was that with the help of the Jaipur Development Authority, it has been added to the beauty of Kishan Bagh, which was earlier a deserted piece of land, and no one used to go there.

Now the view of Kishan Bagh is such that today it has become a big tourist spot in Jaipur. Every day a large number of locals and tourists come to admire the beauty of Kishan Bagh and to see the wonderful shade of natural beauty.

Jaipur is a desert where sandstorm winds blow. In the midst of these sand storms, it seemed very difficult to bring natural life to any place in the desert. When this baron's land, situated in the lap of Nahargarh hill, was shown to Pradeep Krishen, then this Kishan Bagh looked like a dead mound, according to some people it looked like the ravines of Chambal. Nestled in the Northeast of Jaipur city, this garden looked a...

🌾 Honest Review of Kishan Bagh Sand Dunes, Jaipur 🌾

If you're planning to visit Kishan Bagh Sand Dunes, here's a genuine review to help you decide — especially if you're into nature, light trekking, and peaceful spots.

🧭 The Experience:

Kishan Bagh is a vast natural property designed beautifully with informative boards about fossils, local plants, and desert ecology. It’s not just a walk in the park — it’s actually a long trek, so be prepared. The trail is well-maintained, and there are rest houses and water points every 5 minutes, which is a huge plus.

☁️ Best Time to Visit:

Since it involves a lot of walking, I recommend going during winters or on cloudy days. I went in July on a cloudy day, and it was quite pleasant. Avoid going during peak summer heat.

🚗 Getting There:

It’s easy to reach — autos are available, and there are food stalls near the entrance if you want to grab a snack.

💸 Ticket Info & Tip:

Entry Fee: ₹50 per person

Students: ₹25 (only for school students, not college) Important: They don’t accept UPI, so bring cash to avoid hassle — seriously, that’s a must!

👥 The Crowd:

The crowd is a mix — you’ll find some families, a fair number of couples, and yes, quite a few "chapris" (if you know, you know). But overall, it's a safe environment and fine for a casual outing or light adventure.

🧗‍♀️ Final Thoughts:

As someone who enjoys sporty and adventurous activities, I loved the trek. The place offers a peaceful vibe with a touch of education and desert charm. It’s not a touristy hotspot packed with activities, but if you're looking for a natural, low-key outing — this...

Kishan Bagh is a unique and environmentally important site in Jaipur, which offers a calm and natural experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The garden is located at the foot of the Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur, near the Vidyadhar Nagar area. The site is easily accessible by private vehicle or taxi.

In 2016, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) along with environmentalist Pradeep Krishan started the work of reviving this area. The area was earlier covered with barren sand dunes. Affected by pollution and urbanization, this land was restored as a traditional ecosystem of the Thar Desert called “Roee”.

The garden has sand dunes depicting the ecology of the Thar Desert, native vegetation such as Saccharum, Rohida, Akda, Dhatura, and other plants that thrive in arid climate. The site is also a center of attraction for bird lovers, where various bird species, butterflies and small desert creatures can be seen.

Natural View Points: The park has many view points and resting places from where visitors can enjoy the desert landscape.

Natural Guided Tour: A one-hour guided tour with a naturist guide is available, providing information about the biodiversity and ecology of the park.

Photography and Pre-wedding Shoots: Kishan Bagh is becoming a popular destination for photographers and pre-wedding shoots due to its natural beauty.

Kishan Bagh is a unique site that strikes a balance between the traditional architecture of Jaipur and modern ecological conservation. The site is not only a centre for environmental education but also offers a calming and inspiring experience.

Best nature place to visit in Jaipur! - Raised walkway is built to avoid damage to the plants and animals. - Friendly staff. - A small pond is there at the other end, which is viewable from machan(the top viewpoint). - The entire place is beautiful and the view from machan is lovely, as it's the top spot in the sand dunes. - A lot of boards are placed which contain information about the park, 'roee', shrublands' biodiversity, sandstones, etc. - Avoid late morning and afternoon visits as the sun gets very harsh and there are only a few shaded places inside. 🎟 Ticket cost is 50rs per person. Children below 8 years get free entry with family. Students may enter the park free of cost with a recommendation letter from the Head of the educational institute. 🚻 Toilet facilities were very clean and are available at ticket counter and visitors centre. 🚰 Drinking water available, at ticket counter, visitors centre, and machan. 🅿️ Two and four-wheeler parking is available. Note: My visit was on 15/7/24 in the morning.
