At an altitude of 2,050 meters it is the hub for adventure sport activities in the Jammu region. The area is notable for its scenic views of mountain ranges including the Brammah Massif. A nearby mountain range is called the Shanta Ridge. The Shank Pal Temple is located at the highest point of the Shank Pal ridge, at an altitude of 2,897 metres, a few hours' walk from Sanasar. I first visited Sanasar in 2018—back then it was quite offbeat with narrow roads and basic access. But now, the roads are smooth, hotels and facilities have improved, and it’s much easier to reach. It still retains its untouched charm though!
