⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yes Five stars. 👇

Ok I'm going to review this place on some parameters like :-

I experienced this beautiful and adventurous place on 24th of July 2022. All the required or minimal facilities for tourists are available here. Separate toilets are also opened for male and female. Scenic points are also built there. Resting areas and shades are also well developed here. Minor shops are there which offers some food related stuffs. Not all places are accessible by wheelchair. So it becomes difficult to carry them with you. There is need to give an options to handicapped people as well. Guards are there for your safety. A local ticket is levied here for parking.

I'm sharing some tips with you. Kindly follow these to enjoy more adventurous journey.

• [Tips] :- Carry your own food related stuffs.

One thing that you have to remember that nearby shops will charge some extra additional taxes on each and every products that they offers there. So you have to spend some more even for basic things. Avoid purchase at that place.

• [Tips] :- The stairs are very slippery in nature especially during rainy season.

Try to avoid to go more inside the waterfall area. All the stairs and rocks becomes more slippery and very dangerous for walking.

• [Tips] :- Comes early and explore more.

See there are different ways to reach this place. All paths will leads you to the same destination but with different angles and views. So, if you want to explore the whole area than I strongly recommend you to come early in the morning because there are three different points at same place with three different beautiful angles to explore and to experience.

• [Tips] :- Don't dare to swim especially if you don't know how to swim.

There are lots of cases where you found that people are dying continuously at this place because of drowning. Avoid to take bath especially during the rainy season.

• [Tips] :- Keep an eye on your childrens.

Generally people come here to enjoy but during this leisure time they ignored their children and it leads to an avoidable accident.

Follow me on Google Maps to be updated regularly.

● KNOW MORE ABOUT DASSAM FALLS :-

The Dassam Falls (also known as Dassam Ghagh) is a waterfall located near Taimara village in Bundu police station of Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Elevation- 336 metres (1,102 ft) Total height- 44 metres (144 ft) Number of drops- 2 Watercourse- Kanchi River

Dassam is a changed form of word Da:song which means in mundari language the act of pouring water. Da: means water and song means pouring or measuring. The water fall resembles like somebody is pouring water so the name was Da:song earlier but afterwards the name was changed to Dassam.

The Dassam Falls is a natural cascade across the Kanchi River, a tributary of the Subarnarekha River. The water falls from a height of 44 metres (144 ft). The sound of water echoes all around the place. Dassam Falls at one of the edges of the Ranchi plateau is one of the many scarp falls in the region.

The Dassam Falls is an example of a nick point caused by rejuvenation. Knick point, also called a nick point or simply nick, represents breaks in slopes in the longitudinal profile of a river caused by rejuvenation. The break in channel gradient allows water to fall vertically giving rise to a waterfall.

The water of the Dassam Falls is very clean and clear. It is natural for a tourist to be enticed to enter the water for a bath or swim but tourists are warned not to do so because of the current that is generated. There have been many cases of drowning in Dassam Falls.

The Dassam Falls is 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Ranchi on NH 33 or Ranchi-Jamshedpur highway.

Keep this place as it is which means don't litter your waste and stuffs here and there. Kindly throw it in the dustbin.

Enough has been written about the Dassam Falls, so would share only what we felt could come handy to future travellers:

  1. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the Falls once you leave the Ranchi Tata Highway (NH 33) and take the road leading to the falls.
  2. The road for some part is one lane and one has to ensure one does not overspeed. One also to remain cautious about not hurting the numerous goat/chicken on the road, especially around huts/houses. One may need go shell out upto Rs 10,000 if an animal is hurt.
  3. There is decent parking space for upto 30 cars- parking fees of Rs 50. If one wants to skip paying the fee, one can park in a small field about 100 m from the parking entrance. It takes about 5 min walk to reach the Falls from that field.
  4. The place is not very friendly for those with mobility issues. There are small eateries offering snacks, beverages, and food like rice, egg curry, fish, chicken, dal, pakoda, kachori, bread etc. Besides there are villagers selling guava, cucumber, and sprouts.
  5. Be wary of the monkeys that loiter around the entrance to the falls. There is a toilet near the entrance. It is not the best in terms of cleanliness but is not the worst either.
  6. One can enjoy the sight of the waterfalls from different locations- one from a covered seating within 10 steps of getting down from the parking area, the second after getting down further (about 20 steps), the third after further 20 steps down, and the final one after reaching the rocks near the falls. There is a small barricade (red cloth is the identifier) separating the territory marked dangerous. Visitors must not get adventurous and cross that barricade as there have been accidents in the past.
  7. Getting up to the larking area from the rocks/falls can be very tiring considering the height one has to climb.
  8. It was very unfortunate to see plastic bottles, lids, and packaging thrown in the water and near the rocks.
  9. At the quickest, one can cover the falls in 20-30 mins and at a more relaxed pace, one can cover it in 1 hour.

Overall a very soothing and...
