A good enough drive leads to this dam, with a narrow 1 km or so long concrete and almost single lane road leading right upto the place. No dedicated parking spot, so you will have to park on the narrow lane itself as far as the car and traffic allows. This also implies that there is no dedicated place to make a U turn yet, so you’ll have to back up your car quite a bit to find a decent enough spot to make the turn.
That said, the place itself is good and offers some nice scenic views of clean water bodies, the damn itself and surrounding mid size mountains. If you have a kid, you can also take a stroller all the way up as the road is made of concrete (there are rail blockings, but you can easily take the stroller over them as a couple).
You can easily spend upto an hour here, with friends or family and take some great portraits.
If you need snacks and water, its best to take your own as you wouldn’t find any good shops there, barring a few street side vendors who are not upto the mark.
Overall, will recommend this place as a good option for a drive...

Avoid taking Xavier's road at the time of monsoon because there isn't any pakka road and small pebbles and mud are waiting for your bike. 😁 In winter take an extra jacket for yourself because after 3 pm temperature drop drastically there. There aren't any food options available, no shops or anything. Pack your food(and do not use plastic) There is a small cliff-like structure (mountain) beside the lake if you wanna hike then be careful rocks are slippery because of dust. Lake is pretty deep so if you can't swim then do not enter into the water. If you enjoy fishing then go there with a fishing line there are a lot of fish in the water. Cellphone networks are weak. Specially 4g. But you'll get 2g network. Sorry for...
