This temple in ramgarh, hazaribagh is considered a holy & divine place to the Hindus all over India.main temple is a colourful structure.vairabhi river is passing by the temple ..but crowd maintance is very poor inside the temple. people r pussing one another & create nuisance inside the main temple, difficult to visit with elderly & kids ...goats are carried for sacrifice & no different entrance for men & goats... people have to stand in ques for long but can't offer puja peacefully ..but as it is one of the saktipeeth among 51 in India it is considered very sacred place. It is said to be over 6000 years old and still attracts thousands of visitors every day. A site of both religious and historical importance, this temple attracts pilgrims and devotees from all over India and abroad. There are also several Hindu festivals celebrated at the temple. The deity to whom the temple is dedicated, Maa Chinmastikey, one of the Mahavidya Goddesses, is highly revered in Hindu culture, especially in North India. She is most often depicted as being severed by the head, holding her decapitated head in her hand; and the blood spurting out of her neck being drunk by her head and two attendants. This ferocious and gory image symbolizes what she stands for— a life-giver as well as a life taker. She represents life as well as death, at the same time. She also represents sexual self-control, the frailty of life itself as well as several topics that would be easily considered taboo in modern culture. She is known for herself sacrificing nature, and her destructive fury, as is expected of a goddess of the Shakti. Prayer to this Hindu goddess is believed to protect the worshipper from “instance of misfortune, difficulty and misguided mind”. Apart from the religious significance, the Rajrappa Mandir is also a place for vehicle poojas, marriages and any number of ritualistic traditions that require the blessing of the goddess. In Hindu culture, it is a practice for children to be shaved bald before the age of two; this practice is called the mundan and most families choose to do their children’s mundan at a temple. The Rajrappa Mandir happens to be an important site for the mundan, with hundreds of young children getting their heads shaved in this temple. Everyone should visit this temple ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

The Chhinnamasta Temple in Rajrappa is a captivating testament to Tantrik architecture, renowned for its unique spiritual aura and intricate design. At its heart lies the striking image of Goddess Chhinnamasta, depicted as a headless deity standing on Kamdeo and Rati amidst a lotus bed. This central figure exemplifies the temple's spiritual essence and attracts devotees seeking profound spiritual experiences. Apart from the main shrine dedicated to Maa Chhinnamasta, the temple complex boasts ten additional sanctuaries venerating various deities like Surya, Hanuman, and Lord Shiva. Each temple radiates its own divine energy, enriching the spiritual journey of visitors. The temple welcomes pilgrims and visitors daily from early morning till late evening, accommodating both the devotionally inclined and those curious about its historical and religious significance. During festivals such as Maha Shivaratri, Navratri, and Makar Sankranti, the temple becomes a focal point of vibrant celebrations and religious fervor. Entry to the temple is free, offering everyone the opportunity to experience its sacred ambiance without any barriers. While VIP entry and live darshan options are not available, the simplicity and authenticity of the temple's offerings remain deeply appealing. In essence, the Chhinnamasta Temple in Rajrappa stands as a spiritual beacon, blending tradition with architectural splendor, making it a must-visit for seekers of divine blessings and cultural exploration alike.

With blessings of Maa Chinnamasta, I visited here on 11th Feb, 2023. It is a divine place. As soon as you entre the temple, you see a divine form of maa. Its slightly dark inside and you may struggle to clearly see Maa's murti (idol). One can clearly see at least one stream of blood flowing inscription on the idol of Maa. There will be one or two priests in temple who will help you in prayer. After divine darshan, you need to break the nariyal (coconut) near a shivaling and put the water on shivaling.... After that you visi the adjacent temple where there is a huge Shivalinga, which fascinates all.... What I believe is that this might have been used for Tantrik sadhna in ancient times or earlier. But now I dont think its used for those practices. After this, there are several temples in the Temple complex which you should visit, especially temples of MahaVidyas which have their own power and divinity... There is a beautiful river flowing near the temple complex which you can enjoy a boat ride which costs Rs. 50 per head and its nice.... People get goats inside temple since Bali (sacrifice) is an important part of Maa Chinnamasta Sadhna..... and there is a place in temple where Bali is done... just fold your hands, pray and enjoy the divinity of this divine place.... Om Hum Chinnamastayayyi Namah 🙏🙏

Chhinnamasta temple is located at Rajrappa, 28 km away from Ramgarh Cantonment along NH-23 in the Ramgarh district of the State ofJharkhand, India. It is situated on a hillock at the confluence of the Damodar and Bhera (Bhairavi River) rivers near the Rajrappa falls.

This location has a special significance. It is at the union of Bhairavi nadi(female) coming from top, meeting Damodar nada (male) signifying vipareeta rati ( opposite coppulation) pose as described in Devi Chhinnamasta's dhyana (vipareeta rataturam). Here Bhairavi is active shakti and Damodar is the male passive member of rati action. Damodar is very calm and Bhairavi is the active member. The temple enshrines the Goddess Chinnamasta (the beheaded Goddess Kali), one of the ten forms of the Goddess Durga. The statue shows the goddess holding her own head in her left hand and her head drinking the blood oozing out of her neck. The headless idol of Goddess Chhinnamastika stands on the body of Kamdeo and Rati in Lotus bed. Many smaller temples have been build around the main temple such as the temples of Ashtamatrika and Dakshina Kali. The temples of Mahavidyas built in a series nearby are Tara, Shodashi, Bhubneswari, Bhairavi, Bagla, Kamla, Matangi, Dhumavati.

The temple is very old and the place Rajrappa finds mention in the Vedas, Puranas and Hindu scriptures as a "Shakti Peeth" which is flocked by devotees from Bihar, Jharkhand,West Bengal Assam and Nepal for worship of Goddess Chinnamastika. Vedic book Durga Saptashati also mentions the temple.
