The Usri Falls is a natural waterfall that cascades down from a height of about 40 feet. It is surrounded by lush green forests and rocky terrain, which adds to the charm of the place. The best time to visit the falls is during the monsoon season, when the water flow is at its peak, and the surroundings are at their greenest.

One of the unique features of the Usri Falls is the natural swimming pool that is formed at the base of the waterfall. Visitors can take a dip in the pool and enjoy the cool, refreshing water. However, caution is advised as the rocks can be slippery, and visitors need to be careful while swimming.

Apart from the natural beauty, the Usri Falls also has a rich cultural history. It is believed that the falls were a popular site for meditation and spiritual practices for the Jain monks. The nearby Parasnath Hill, which is a sacred site for Jains, also adds to the spiritual significance of the place.

In terms of accessibility, the Usri Falls is located about 13 km from the Giridih town and is well-connected by road. There are also local buses and taxis available for visitors to reach the falls. However, the last 2 km of the road leading to the falls is rough, and visitors need to be careful while driving.

Overall, the Usri Falls is a hidden gem of Jharkhand and is a must-visit for those who love nature and adventure. The natural beauty, spiritual significance, and cultural history make it a unique destination that is...

We are now in Deoghar. Our two families consists of five senior citizens intend to visit Usri Falls. And so with the help of Nandan, manager of Hotel Ganga Cottage, hired a four wheeler, Scorpio, @ RS.2800/- for the tour. We started at 9.00 AM. It was a pleasant journey. About 90% of the road was very smooth and the greeneries around our way were very much beautiful. We reached at Usri Falls at about 12 O'Clock after spending 45 minutes at 'Buroi', a spectacular location. Usri is about a distance of 72 KM from Deoghar. Usri Falls is a wonderful waterfall situated in Giridih area in the Indian territory of Jharkhand. It is a well known visitor and excursion spot. The Usri River, a tributary of the Barakar River, streams down a precarious canyon. The Usri Falls drop around 12 meters 39 ft in three separate streams. It is surrounded by dense forest. Some of the rocks have been split up into blocks of huge dimension whose polished and clean surfaces have been chequered by veins of various hues. The profile of the river bed changes after passing through the falls. The lower portion is mostly flat, slightly undulating, which gives way to gorge like form. When we arrived a person collected Rs.20/- on behalf of Yuva Unnayan Samity. We could not realised how the time had been passed. Hours after hours might be go away by just observing the beauty of the Falls. It was a grand experience.

A Monsoon Marvel (Please Keep It Clean!) Visited during the monsoon season and it was absolutely breathtaking! The falls were in full, powerful flow, creating a gorgeous and misty atmosphere. The sound of the water and the lush green surroundings made for a perfect nature escape. A huge plus was the road condition. The approach road is in excellent shape, making the journey very smooth and comfortable. However, the experience was slightly marred by the irresponsible littering. We noticed a disappointing number of plastic water bottles thrown around the picnic areas. Even more saddening was finding alcohol bottles and cans discarded in the forested areas away from the main spot. It's such a beautiful place and it truly hurts to see it treated this way. This is a plea to both tourists and locals: please be mindful. Carry a bag for your trash and take it back with you. Let's all work together to preserve the natural beauty of Usri Falls for everyone to enjoy. Despite the litter, the natural beauty is undeniable. A must-visit during the monsoon, but please leave only footprints!
