I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kalamb Beach near Vasai, and I must say it was an incredible experience filled with adventure and fun. In between is a village called Rajodi and so is the second cleaner adjacent beach named Rajodi. Similarly, Adjacent to Rajodi towards Arnala is Navapur beach which is hardly known to many as the route and far from both Virar & Nalasopara. Except weekends and public holidays , Kalamb beach is less crowded and peaceful. If you are looking for an isolated beach in Vasai Virar location to spend time alone or in group, this is where your search ends.
An absolute serene, breezy and wide beach front, Nothing much but an experience of seating under shades of coconut and other trees at the shore as summers are very hot, Winter is ideal. Evening at this beach is more beautiful due to the undisturbed mesmerizing sunset view. It is just you and the sound of waves along the cool breeze travelling with waves. And so is the isolation which attracts couples to this beach.
Talking about food availability, Pickup some stuff & bottled water from Nirmal Village junction is here for a day on this beach. Resorts are available, But to be frank average food quality for vegetarians & let your experience talk about the Non Vegetarian food in below comment.
Water current and quality are ideal for some quick dip without fear, Yet do take care of children as lifeguards etc are not available & the right person to listen are the local villagers and fishermen.
Although there is limit to everything and to make it a point, it is safe to get inside Kalamb beach water during high tides when water is at distance of just 100 to 150 metres from shore. Low currents are known to pull inside. Water looks black due to the sand colour, other wise it is clean and has no litters floating as seen at major beaches of Mumbai. This flat beach sand is hard and slightly wet due to previous night tides. This makes it an ideal place to ride your bike or car on such sand which so much fun, Just take care of the entry area where the think sand may stuck...
