Situated north east 75 kms from mangalore 1.5 hrs drive by car. The picturesque place in bewteen a green nature. Nature loving People love this calm place. Many sevas can be performed as per the display list. One day flower pooja @Rs1000, one day annadana @Rs 3000 and shashvath annadana @Rs 10,000 are the major sevas. The afternoon pooja will be performed at 12.30 pm. Very devine place where godess mahisha mardinee is worshiped. Temple has a Manasvini anna chatram where the anna prasadam ( free lunch) will be served at 1 pm as buffet system. The veg lunch was very tasty and we were served poriyal, rice, rasam, ash gourd sambar, payasam, buttermilk. We can take rice ,sambar for the second time also. But dont waste food. After eating we need to wash the used plates in sink and place it in the basket. In the morning you can visit panchami vana ( naga bana) situated 1.5 kms from the temple. The pooja at naga bana will be perforned up to 12.00 noon. The place is adjacent to river and very calm and naturally cool place you will really enjoy the nature. Bhramin hotel is also available near the temple where you can get snacks tea, coffee etc.. One can easily spend 9 am to 1 pm, have lunch in temple and return. A wonderful Devi temple known to be very powerful. The location is just awesome, as it is right in the middle of a forest, next to a river. Plenty of deities come here everyday, but still is calm and peaceful. The temple opens between 8am to 8pm, and in between closes at around 1pm and will only be open after 4pm. They serve tasty food on banana leaf after the mahapooja at noon. This temple is around half an hour away from Brahmavara bustop. There are frequent city buses to take you here.
