1.The flag of Jagannath temple fly opposite to the direction of wind. 2.The Sudarshan chakra near gopuram of Jagannath temple looks like same form 180 degree angle from ground level to spectators. 3.Jagannath temple has 22 steps, where the third step is skipped while climbing for darshan of diety as the third step is considered as yama dwara. 4.7 earthern or mud pots are kept one upon other pot and prasad gets prepared for jagannath.Surprisingly, the topmost mud pot which is seventh pot gets cooked first. Each day new mud pots are used to prepare prasad for a minimum of 50 thousand devotees & 200 thousand of prasad is prepared on special occasions of Jagannath festival. 5.No food get eaither wasted or insufficient to devotees as it is believed that,Godess Laxmi supervises the preparation of prasad or food of Jagannath & lord Sun God assist with Agni each day. 6.Each day new flag is raised on top of Jagannath temple. 7.Jagannath diety is living God who has Sri Krishna 's heart installed in the most sacred wooden statue of Jagannath which beats and sound is heard. This sacred heart of Sri Krishna melts slowly and the body of Jagannath dies every 14 years & hence it is replaced with New sacred wooden statue of Jagannath every 14 years. This tradition is followed by the priest of this temple from centuries Who knows occult mantra to reinstall the heart. 8.While installation of Lord Sri Krishna 's heart into wooden statue of Jagannath, entire city lights will turned off and the temple is guarded by CRPF of defence force of India. 9.Bhavishya Maalika is a book maintained by the authorities of Jagannath temple has a priscription of every aspect of future of this planet earth. It has quoted even the Kovid which shook the world in 2020.It is written as if an ancient plant in the premises of Jagannath temple falls by wind, entire world will suffer with unknown deseses. And 2020 a big banion tree fell before the start of Kovid. If a bird sits on flag of Jagannath temple or if the flag is carried by the bird, eagle to the ocean,World will suffer with wars & half of population of planet earth will face...

Amazing place with very good trekking trails and mountain views and sights ...

The mountain has 4 temples on top and one can do darshan of ramalaya, Akkayamma devi, bheemeshwar temples...

The pathway is very beautiful 😍❤️ the views are so divine with nandi carved on the mountain stones... The pathway is not so hard to cover... Mountain height is not so high... It's steep and easy to walk and Trek...

There is a meditation centre which is closed but there is shiv linga painted on top of the big mountain stone...

One can cover maximum 5-6 kms the whole mountain trail... There are different view points and scenic points to take pics...

Ideal time to come here is early morning before sunrise timing: 5:30 am or after sunrise timing between 6-7 am... Evening time after 4 pm...

One can come here with friends and family or come to spend some private time as a couple and enjoy the weather with great sunsrise or sunset views...

There is a petty shop, small flower and Pooja samagri market for people visiting temple...

There is a good free parking lot... You can take your vehicles on top of the mountain and park as it's easy to drive on top...

There are directions and signs to go...

There is a washroom facility which is public toilet pay and use...

There is a small idli shop which serves hot idlis with chutney and rice bhath...

There is a separate step wise entrance for visiting akkayamma devi temple...

There is a pond for water bath and there is a huge crowd on weekends in akkayamma temple...

Must visit on weekends for early morning long drives or evening...

You shud either visit this place for sunset or sunrise! It’s absolutely worth it! I went on a evening and it’s a good chilling place. You can spot airport coz it’s far! But be aware I don’t know how many have experienced this! The access to the hill is in two ways! U can either walk or the vehicle goes until top! If anyone in higher authority seeing this I want you to take an action! As there’s a shop near the parking ! The shopkeepers children try scaming and robbing from you! I was with a friend! And I was sitting there..a small girl came and caught my friend legs and started asking money..while she’s asking money another small guy who had come was trying to open the bag and steal things..and then I somehow escaped from there and came back..while they were doing the same thing with the other people who were there…catching their hands and legs and asking them money..and when I was returning near the parking they were near the shop and giving the money whatever they got to the shopkeeper! So be aware when u visit there..I also ask some higher authorities there to take a strict action,so that the public shouldn’t get disturbed when visiting this place as they come to this place for getting peace of mind! But instead they getting robbed is what they don’t expect. Place wise it’s the best and u have the whole city...

A very beautiful place to spend some good time with family or friends and nice to see the sunset. View is very nice both sorrouning as well as top of the hill . The hill is also not tough for tracking. Parking Available Carry the foods and water In my view best time is the evening time. Good place to spend some quiet time. Better in the morning or evenings. Usually windy and great open spaces. Lots of stray dogs everywhere. Beware. Parking available. Car, bike you can bring anything. There’s a temple also on top of the hill. A small beautiful hill with a temple at top. From one side there are stairs to climb the hill to reach the temple. From the other side, you can take your 4 wheeler or 2 wheeler till half of the hill and park there. Enough parking for 2 wheelers but limited space for 4 wheelers. You can climb the hill after that to reach the top. Its easy to climb. Many aged people and children visit there. The view from the top is amazing. From one side you can see the city and the Nandihill region. Worth visiting. One of the shortest and best place to spend evening or morning. Its typical bangalore hill top, no trees better to avoid visiting after 12. Carry Cal's and glasses and enough water. You will not find shops are hotels nearby.

Akkayamma Betta is a hill near Bangalore, Karnataka, known for its scenic views and religious significance. Best Time to Visit: Early mornings or evenings for pleasant weather and a peaceful experience. How to Reach: • By Road: Easily accessible by bike, car, or taxi from Bangalore. • By Public Transport: Buses are available to nearby towns, but a private vehicle is more convenient. Parking: • Limited free parking Available for 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers. Restroom: • I have visited 5 times but never found Restroom at Top. Not sure, whether it’s available. Things to Carry: • Water and light snacks as not much food stalls available. • Comfortable shoes for trekking. • A camera or phone for capturing views. • Sun protection (cap, sunglasses, sunscreen). Tips: • Avoid visiting during midday due to heat. • Be mindful of local customs when visiting the temple. • Maintain cleanliness and avoid littering. • Watch out for monkeys; keep food items secure. What to Expect: • A small temple dedicated to Goddess Akkayamma at the top. • Panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. • A peaceful trekking spot with minimal crowds. • Ideal for photography, short treks, and spiritual visits. Good Place to spend peaceful time with beloved one.
