This Spot is one of my favourite site to visit in Mangalore, it's the meet point where the Netravathi river joins the Arabian sea. It's just a beautiful sight and view. Love th fact that the block stones are placed with the waves crashing on it, there is a beach here where there is no crowd at all except 3 of us who visit this place on the particular hour, felt like a private beach just for us. I'm also glad that they have built some seatings to enjoy the view. Especially sunsets the best view here and I thoroughly love love the view. There is no shops around also, which is good in a way.

Here the 2 rivers, Nethravathi & Gurpur meet the Arabian sea. Tetrapods have been stacked at Bengre beach to reduce sea erosion. Bengre, a fisherman’s village is ½ km in width & 8 km long. It is surrounded by the Arabian sea on the right side & Gurpur river on the left side. Bengre, the last ward in Mangalore City Corporation, has 2 areas, namely Thota Bengre occupied by Hindus & Kasaba Bengre occupied by Muslims. Ferry service from Old Port of Mangalore takes you to Thota Bengre & a short 10 min walk takes you to the estuary which offers excellent views.

It was the edge beach and was such a beautiful experience. You can go through two routes one through the ferry and walk 2km towards the beach.or if u have a vehicle it goes around almost 17 kms but takes like 35 mins max. The beach is quite secluded and wouldn't recommend post sunset, but it's one of the best sunset points. U would reach the bouldered edge and will have to walk around 300 m on the boulders along the beach edge to reach the actual sandy beach area.its worth the experience.Heads up the beach is not well maintain though.
