We've always had fun in this place. Be it a day out or even a night stay in their tents. We have such good memories of this place. We have been to this place so many times and it was almost like our own property where we could do what we wanted, long before the pandemic hit us. The last time we went, this seemed to be changing. There were rules that were brought in without informing us and we thought it would be the same but it was changing. We didn't feel the same freedom we used to have. Had we been informed before, we would have been more used to the changes they are bringing in. For us and for me, their USP is the fact that guests have their free hands and we did what we wanted to do. Understand pools and property needs to be cared for, but guests should be informed of the terms and conditions before commitments are made. We went there thinking it would be the same but with some of the restrictions, we were caught by surprise and it didn't gel well with us. Fair enough they want to bring in rules and regulations and develop it, but personally, I would love the be able to bring my own food, eat it at leisure, unhindered by too many people and at peace, use the facilities and have a good peaceful time. That ability seems to be going out. One of the very few places you can do this is also planning to go the commercial way is sad for me. Wish them all the best but i still hope they retain their openness and 'do your own thing'-ness.
If you want peace and quiet with your family and friends, in a place where you hear no vehicular or 'city' noise but within easy reach, I would still suggest this place. Who knows, some people might be happier with more formal rules and more resort...
Read moreHorrible experience ! They're renovating and working on some new projects. Definitely not safe for anyone to be staying there and very unpleasant because of all the noise from the boulders and machines from all the construction work. The wrost part was that their restaurant was closed so we had to go to nearby restaurants everytime we had to have a meal. The actual swimming pool was a 3 minute drive from the room. All we could see was construction around us. The manager neeraj responded and everytime we asked for assistance but the housekeeping person demanded 500 rupees just to take the trash out without the knowledge of his superiors. The electricity went out at least 8 times in just two days and there was no water for 3 hours. Overall, not an enjoyable experience at all ! They must not invite guests while renovating!
Replying to your new response: the link you have sent also mentions "Canterbury" I have booked on the same website so I will review on the same place ! Wishing you well too ! Spent 5000 per day for the worst experience ! And I have left after one night without using the next day stay after paying entire money. Thank you for wasting customers...
