Second Avatar of Lord Dattatreya located on the banks of Bhīma River here, Ganagapur temple is associated with Sri Nrusimha Saraswathi Swamy, who is Second Avatar of Lord Dattatreya located on the banks of Bhīma River. According to the Book Guru Charitra, he promised that he would abide forever at Ganagapur. Lord Sri Narasimha Saraswathi Swamy appeared in 1378 and left his body in 1458 after promising to stay forever in Ganagapur. He was Born in Karanjapur which is now called as Karanja located in Vidharabha region of Maharashtra. His Padukas are worshipped in the temple which is also known as Nirgun Paduka Math. They were left here by Sri Nrusimha Swamy himself before he left for Kardali Van (Forest) near Srisailam where Swamy left his earthly body and merged with the Para brahma.

Main temple here is also called as Nirguna Paduka Math. One can have darshan of Swamy padukas and Moorthy roopa in Alankara. Paduka Darshan available from 7 am to 12 Noon only. Nivedan to Shreeguru starts at 12:00 noon. Only Moorthy Darshan is available after 1:00 pm.

Darshan of Padukas, Moorthy and performing pooja/Seva is great experience here. so to do the same, please plan your Darshan well before 12:00 Noon time

It is said that to Complete the Ganagapur Yatra one has to visit three Yatra destinations. Sangamsthan: This is Bhima and Amarraja River's Sangam place, called as Bakthi sthan Nirugun Math: This is main Datta Mandir, called as Karma Sthan Kalleshwar Mandir: This is Kalleshwat Mandir where one can have darshan of Kalleswar, Shanidev, Navagrah and Panchmukha Anjaneya Swamy. This is called as Mukthi Sthan.

Ganagapur Temple Miracles: There are many miracles which are lively been noticed. Many people who are effected by some evils and spirits visit Dattatreya temple of Ganagapur to get rid of the same. People effected by Black magic are been really cured at this temple.

Temple Timings: Morning 02:30 to Evening 09:30

Near By Places: Sangam: Confluence of River Bhima and River Amarraja which is considered extremely holy place. It is believed that who ever will have bath in this sangam will be free from there sins and also there wishes wil get fulfilled. Audambar Vriksha: Which is located near Sangam, witch is very holy place. Near Audumbar tree there is shelter where many devotees perform the Parayan of Sri Gurucharitra. One who performs Gurucharitra parayan with Sapthaha deeksha at the premises of this Audumbar tree, he will definitely have the Darshan of Lord Dattatreya in any form and their desires will be fulfilled. Devotees do the Pradakshina with a Minimum of 11/21/108 round to the tree by chanting Datta nama "Digambara Digambara Shree Paada Vallabha Digambara" Sangameshwara Temple: Sangameshwaralay is situated at back side of Datta Darbar Mandir. Darshan of Lord shiva here is same as Kashi Vishweswara Darshan. Kalleshwara Temple: Kalleshwara Mandir is Ancient than the Nirgun Math in Ganagapur. This temple is considered as equalant to Gokarna Ashta Theerth: Devotees coming to Ganagapur will have Theerth snan (Holy Bath) in Large numbers. The Bath in Ashta Theerth's on Narka Chaturdashi is very Powerful. All these Ashta thertha's are in one line and road towards this theertha's is very rough and prefer to go by walk. Reason being is till today it is believed that Nrusimha Swamy walks here in hidden. That is the reason local people are not developing roadway for the vehicles movement. Chintamani Ganapati: Chintamani Ganapati is inside the Nirgunamath. Power of this Ganapati is explained in Shree Guru Charitra Vishrati Katta: This is the place where Swamy Shri Guru used to Relax while going to Sangam...

The Ganagapur station is main De- boarding station to go to Datta Mandir at Ganagapur ( Its is gaNAga pur). town is small , the main attraction is Shri Datta Mandir and associated few More temple, the old and ancient Temple is main attraction of the town and economy of the town is based the temple and its contribution . The Devotees from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh visit for Darshan of Shri Datta . As the Economy of the town is dependent of the temple and its Devotees, every thing runs around temple timing. there are lot lodging /ashrams are there but for online booking only few are available. most of the Hotel and Lodges are owned or managed by Poojari (Purohit of the temple), they directly control every thing. We stayed at Shri Anusuya datta lodge , we did online booking (Telephone Booking), staff and supporting staff pf the Hotel were niceand hotel too is good . In Hotel we were trapped by agents who deals with pooja etc, claiming he is brother of main Poojari etc etc ( in fact they have their office in Hotel, it self) even though when they proposed for pooja the fixed sum is taken, after that at temple they started fleecing the devotees , at each and every step they come up with more demand, right from archaka who did pooja, annadhana etc and finally agent too took Baksheesh, in full course of pooja and our stay at temple , we never met main Purohit in whose name the booking taken , everything has been subcontracted and those fellow without even a iota shame and guilt demand money from you . The money which was suppose to go temple is gobbled up by intermediary in the name of God and no receipt is given . My advice to Devotees who go there for Darshan and Pooja of Dutta is (a) If you are going on off season or Not on Thursday go there and search for hotel ( Plenty available) (b) Do not book Pooja seeing Big Purohit name just go and contact available poojari at temple premises. c) Put offering in Hundi ( no body encourages You). The temple is around a Hour Journey from Railway station, because there was some sort of strike of Auto Drivers we could not get share rickshaw/other sharing vehicle, so we took state run bus ( Rs 22/- ticket cost) , the considerate conductor stopped the Bus right in-front of the Hotel, You have to remember the town closes up at around 9 PM. In fact when we left the temple after last Arathi and Thritha at about 9 PM, ,most of the restaurant were closing up so nothing was available, Fortunately we could have our dinner at Free Dasoha ( food service offered by the temple) . the dinner was good, tasty and filling ( unlimited) served by people who are genuinely want you to eat and enjoy ( Pl don't forget to donate there at the counter and collect receipt). On the whole the visit to temple town and surrounding is Devotional, blessing and nice. The weather is hot and dry, People are nice and helpful. The Auto driver ( * Mr. Shivaray Mudakanna*) we met and finally hired was genuinely good fellow, he came whenever we called with out taking extra. Excluding the behavior of Purohits and their agents, the visit was good and nice. May god give good heart to the people connected with temple...

Kalleshwar Mandir: This is Kalleshwat Mandir where one can have darshan of Kalleswar, Shanidev, Navagrah and Panchmukha Anjaneya Swamy. Temple Timings: Morning 02:30 to Evening 09:30 Near By Places: 1. Sangam: Confluence of River Bhima and River Amaraja which is considered extremely holy place. It is believed that whoever will have bath in this Sangam will be free from their sins and also their wishes wil get fulfilled. 2. Audambar Vriksha: Which is located near Sangam, which is very holy place. Devotees do the Pradakshina with a Minimum of 11/21/108 round to the tree by chanting Datta nama "Digambara Digambara Shree Paada Vallabha Digambara" 3. Sangameswar Temple: Sangameshwaralay is situated at back side of Datta Darbar Mandir. Darshan of Lord shiva here is same as Kashi Vishweswara Darshan. 4. Kalleshwara Temple: Kalleshwara Mandir is Ancient than the Nirgun Math in Ganagapur. This temple is considered as equalant to Gokarna 5. Ashta Teerth: Devotees coming to Ganagapur will have Theerth snan (Holy Bath) in Large numbers. 6. Chintamani Ganapati: Chintamani Ganapati is inside the Nirgunamath. Power of this Ganapati is explained in Shree Guru Charitra 7. Vishrati Katta: This is the place where Swamy Shri Guru used to Relax while going to Sangam and Returning.

May god give good heart to the people connected with temple especially Pooja.
