I would suggest not to visit the falls. This was my second visit here. My first visit here was with my friends in the year 1998. That experience was something totally different from what I had to face this time. Firstly, during my first visit we friends went to the falls trekking. We just had a narrow track to walk on at that time, but it was still very comfortable and not steep. But, now they have made steps. And instead of making the steps a bit horizontal taking more area, the department has used their stupid mind and made the steps so vertically inclined making it impossible for aged senior citizens to visit the falls. I was here this time with my mother who's 76, and it was the biggest mistake of my life. They should mention somewhere that senior citizens and people who are not well should not come here. But, the steps are made so steep that, not even people who are fit can climb such steep steps. On top of that, they don't have any RO on the way down for drinking water, in case anyone is thirsty. And secondly, the one and most irritating thing is that they don't even allow anyone near the falls. Last time I visited, we had a swim in the pool of water under the falls.

So, I would never suggest anyone to come here to waste time and money. Rather there are many other places in Mangalore to visit if you are a tourist and looking...

This is a seasonal waterfall created by the incessant rains that pours over the Kudremukha valley... This falls is also considered to be the point from where Tunga river starts... You need to make tickets before entering the falls...but do retain the ticket with you till you exit out of Kudremukha valley...🎫 There are about 300 steps which you need get down to reach the base of the falls😰...however there is a detour from where you can see the top of the falls...but that is just a trailer... After getting down 300 steps which is around 40 feets below you will feel refreshed instead of tired 😴... The water down here is crystal clear...and its said to have some minerals which can remove tans from body... The water is also cold...however while going back to the top covering up those 300 steep steps you will almost feel dead tired 😰😰...however the cool weather will make you feel better after some rest... This could be the best place for health conscious people though...you can loose all your Kals...

Very nice beautiful water falls. One visit hornadu they want definitely visit this place. One who leaving from hornadu to Sringeri towards kudremukha after a 20km you can reach this "hanumangundi" water falls. You can take family and friends also. play in water and make a fresh enjoyment. Here you have to pay entry fees and buy tickets. Ticket fare is reasonable. Surrounding place is thik forest so visit soon and leave the place soon. Best time to visit is June to August (raining season) then only you get water to play. Only own vehicle's people can go there. Orther can go but less buses and you have to wait in the forest until bus comes there. So be careful who going by bus. There is no accommodation. There is no food. Every thing at hornadu, Sringeri, udupi, or dhramastala. Very near place is hornadu. So first be prepare where to stay before going...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hanuman Waterfalls, and it was a truly refreshing experience. Surrounded by lush greenery and the serene sounds of flowing water, the location offers a perfect escape into nature. The waterfall itself is majestic and provides a calming atmosphere, ideal for nature lovers, photographers, or anyone looking to unwind. The path leading to the falls is scenic and adds to the overall adventure. However, I recommend wearing proper footwear and being cautious, especially during the rainy season, as the trail can become slippery. Overall, Hanuman Waterfalls is a hidden gem that reflects the natural beauty and tranquility of the region. I would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers seeking peace and scenic beauty.
