Can be called one of the big lakes in bangalore. Thankfully, it is still not dirty. Peaceful, serene, beautiful. This lake is used for fishing. In the evenings, fishing boats can be seen. We can actually see fishes coming to the surface of water to eat. There is a temple along the lake. In the evenings, we can see beautiful sunset. Points to be noted: 1. There is no boundary around the lake. There a road, vehicles come and go, we need to be careful. 2. Not safe at night. All in all, a nice place to relax and unwind. Finding such a natural place near the city is actually a boon.

Randomly visited this lake on the way of one of my rides. Didn't expect much, was plesently surprised. It was one of the better lakes in bangalore. Fairly clean, not much trash. Friendly people. There's also a small road along the lake on one side which is very pleasant to ride along. Spent maybe 30 mins here and it was relaxing. Would definitely go again if I'm ever in the area.

Was roaming around and just found this lake somehow ... Didn't know about it before as it's not that famous may be....but it's just beautiful...the enormous size of it, the surroundings....it's serene..... Just a tip...follow the map, look for roads that leads to the East coast of Hennagara lake....then you can enjoy the sunset ....

The unknown and Heavenly backwaters of Hennagara Lake is about 29km from Bengaluru, 4km from Jigani. For a second i felt that i was on beach, then realised there are no sand around. Because the wind is so breezy and the waves are so heavy. This has to be by far one of the dope place i have visited, but still this place is so underrated. There is Lord Shiva and Snake Temple behind the lake, very blissful. Ideal for Photography. Fishing is done using coracle, different varieties of fishes are found here. Calm, peaceful and breezy place. The walk beside the lake is so mesmerising. Highly recommended to visit with...

Hennagara lake is a real beauty. The lake is pretty big and the water quality looks very good. Fishing seems to be very popular around the lake, with fishermen on coracle and lots of locals angling. The road to the lake is not great but the drive around the lake is very good. Lots of birds around and the flower fields and farmlands around provide a stunning background. Best time to visit, evening to watch the sunset. Even though haven't seen it yet, I believe the Sunrise from the other side of the lake would also...
