Hosanadu Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple in Kodyadka is located in Moodubidre taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. History of the temple is as follows Shri Jayaram Heggade of Kodyadka was the founder of this field. In 1992, when he went with his family to his deity Shri Horanada Annapurneswari Kshetra, he was inspired by Goddess Annapurneswari herself to build this great kshetra. Later, with the encouragement of Kateelu Gopalakrishna's Asranna, around 1996, a new dimension came to this great field under the leadership of Sri Vishvesha Tirtha Sripada, the Abbot of Udupi Pejawara. Since then, it has seen all kinds of growth step by step and has attracted countless devotees. The architecture of the temple and other shrines is splendid marvelous and ravishing.The pancha metal idol of the holy Annapurneswari Devi is about 5 feet tall and weighs 550 kg. This idol is sculpted by Honnappa Achar, a metal artist from Okulipur, Bangalore.Goddess Annapurneswari blesses the devotees with her four arms holding a conch wheel, a rice bowl (food stick-vardha hand) and a spoon (in the abhaya hand). Apart from main God other lords include Ganapati, Anjaneya, Sri Naga Sannidhi, Navagraha Mandir, Tulsi Peetha and idols of Sri Shankar and Madhwacharya can be found on both sides of the temple.It also has Nice garden outside, huge 61 feet height Hanuman statue carrying Sanjeevi hill, Sai baba, Purandaradasara statue, Samudra mathana, few more beautiful idols.The uniqueness of this temple is thats; it houses a zoo in the temple premises which has varieties of animals, birds, peacocks, turkeys, deer, rabbits, monkeys, stags, bull and horses.Theres also an elephant named Lakshmi infront of the temple. The Hosanadu Kodyadka Temple of Goddess Annapoorneshwari is situated in Puttige village of Mangalore Taluk. It is located at a distance of 35 km from Mangalore. The Hosanadu Kodyadka temple is surrounded by evergreen woods rich in natural beauty, with abundance of flora and fauna. The temple premises is spread about 4 acres of land. Hosanadu Kodyadka has the distinction of being the only seat of Goddess Annapoorneshwari in the Dakshina Kannada district. The holy seat of the Goddess Annapoorneshwari attracts devotees from different parts of the state whose visit is satisfied with a sense of life's fulfillment with the vision of the Goddess in her most beautiful image in the Temple.

Jayaram Hegde is the founder and administrator of Hosanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple at Kodyadka. Once Jayaram Hegde and his family visited the temple of Adishaktyatmaka Sri Annapoorneshwari in Horanadu, and this inspired him to construct the temple at Kodyadka.

The inaugural of the Temple and installation ceremony was held on May 03, 1996 with the holy presence of His Holiness Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejavara Mutt, Udupi.

The height of the image of Goddess Annapoorneshwari is about 62 inches tall and made out of Panchaloha. The Annual Car Festival of the temple is celebrated on 1st of May every year.

The uniqueness of Hosanadu Kodyadka temple is; it houses a zoo in the temple premises which has varieties of animals, birds, peacocks, turkeys, deer, rabbits, monkeys, stags, elephant, bull and horses. Its rare to find animals in temples other than elephants.

The other attraction of Hosanadu Kodyaka temple is 71 feet tall statue of Sanjivini Hanumanta which is under construction.

ಕಾರ್ಕಳದಿಂದ ಮೂಡಬಿದ್ರೆಗೆ ಸಾಗುವ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಬಿದ್ರೆಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಕಿಮಿ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅಲಂಗಾರು ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ ಪಶ್ಚಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇವಲ ಮೂರು ಕಿಮಿ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದೇ ಈ ಕೊಡ್ಯಡ್ಕದ ಹೊಸನಾಡ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ.

ಸದಾ ಹಚ್ಚಹಸುರಿನ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟೀಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಬರಬಹುದು. ಕಟೀಲಿನಿಂದ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ೨೨ ಕಿಮಿ ಕ್ರಮಿಸಿದರೆ ಈ ದಿವ್ಯಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ತಲುಪಬಹುದು. ಹೊರನಾಡು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವು ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನ ಹಚ್ಚ ಹಸುರಿನ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಿಂದ ಆವೃತವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಈ ಹೊಸನಾಡು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವು ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದೆ.

ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಹಸಿರು , ದಟ್ಟ ಕಾಡು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಭತ್ತದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದೆ. ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕಪ್ಪು ಗ್ರಾನೈಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕೊಡ್ಯಡ್ಕದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯರಾಮ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆಯವರು ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಆರಾಧ್ಯ ದೈವವಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಹೊರನಾಡ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಇವರು ೧೯೯೨ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಪರಿವಾರ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪವಾಡವೆಂಬಂತೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾಗಿ ಈ ಮಹಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದರು. ನಂತರ ಕಟೀಲು ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣದ ಆಸ್ರಣ್ಣರ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ೧೯೯೬ ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಉಡುಪಿ ಪೇಜಾವರದ ಮಠಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಸಾರಥ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಹಾನ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಆಯಾಮ ಬಂದಿತು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ತನ್ನೆಡಗೆ ಸೂಜಿಗಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆ ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ

ಪವಿತ್ರ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಿಯ ಪಂಚ ಲೋಹದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಸುಮಾರು 5 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರ 550 ಕಿಲೋ ತೂಕ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ಈ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಓಕುಳಿಪುರದ ಲೋಹಶಿಲ್ಪಿ ಹೊನ್ನಪ್ಪ ಆಚಾರ್ ಅವರು ಕೆತ್ತನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ದೇವತೆ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿಯು ಶಂಖಚಕ್ರ,ಅನ್ನ ಪತ್ರೆ(ಆಹಾರ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು-ವಾರ್ಧಾ ಹಸ್ತ) ಮತ್ತೂ ಚಮಚವನ್ನು (ಅಭಯ ಹಸ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ) ಹಿಡಿದು ತನ್ನ ನಾಲ್ಕು ತೋಳುಗಳಿಂದ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಆಶಿರ್ವಾದನೀಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ನಾಗ ಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಮೂರು ಮೂಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

ದೇಗುಲವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸೌಮಾರು ೪೦೦ ಮಂದಿ ಭಕ್ತರು ಆಸೀನರಾಗಬಹುದಂತಹ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಒಳಾಂಗಣ, ಆಳೆತ್ತರ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ದಿವ್ಯ ತೇಜಸ್ಸನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿಯ ಭವ್ಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ದೇಗುಲದ ಇಕ್ಕೆಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣಪತಿ, ಆಂಜನೇಯ, ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಗ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿ, ನವಗ್ರಹ ಮಂದಿರವಲ್ಲದೆ ತುಳಸಿ ಪೀಠ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಶಂಕರರ ಹಾಗು ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಷ್ಣವಿ ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಅಣ್ಣ ಛತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಮ್ಮೆಲೇ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಸಾವಿರ ಭಕ್ತರು ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ದೇವಿಯ ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ೩ರ ವರೆಗೂ ಊಟದ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು.

ಈಗ ಬೃಹದಾಕಾರವಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಭವ್ಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯೊಂದು ದೇಗುಲದ ಮುಂಬಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕರಾವಳಿ ನಾಡಿನ ವೈಭವಯುತ ಉತ್ಸವವಾದ ನಾಗ ಮಂಡಲವು ಸಹ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಪ್ರತೀಕವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಶೃಂಗೇರಿ,ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು,ಉಡುಪಿ,ಕಟೀಲು,ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ,ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಗಳಂತೆ ಜನರು ಹೊಸನಾಡು ಶ್ರೀ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.ಕೊಡ್ಯಡ್ಕ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವತೀರ್ಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರು "ಹೊಸನಾಡು-ಕೊಡ್ಯಡ್ಕ" ಎಂದು ಮರುನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಆಂಜನೇಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕಾರಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ಶ್ರೀ ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ನವಗ್ರಹ ಮಂದಿರವು ನವಗ್ರಹ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.ಬೃಹತ್ ತುಳಸಿ ಪೀಠವು ಕೂಡ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಲ್ಪಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಭಕ್ತರೂ ಕೂಡ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೂ ಮುಖ ವನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕು.

ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಒಂದು ಕಾರಂಜಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತರು ವಿವಾಹ ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ . ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ "ಅನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣ" ಡೈನಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಲ್ ಒಂದು ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ 900 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಗುವಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ."ಅನ್ನ ಪ್ರಸಾದ "ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಸಾದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತವಾಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಳ ಮಂದಿರ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ರಥ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನವಿಲು , ಪಾರಿವಾಳ , ಜಿಂಕೆ, ಕೋತಿಗಳು , ಕುದುರೆಗಳು (ಆರತಿ ಮತ್ತೂ ಭಾರತೀ ) ಮತ್ತೂ ಆನೆ (ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ) ಎಲ್ಲ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಈಗ ಅವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕಾಣಲು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಆನೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕುದುರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ದನ ನೋಡಲು ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಆನೆಕೆರೆ ಕೂಡ ನವೀಕರಣಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.ಈ ಚದರ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಕೊಳವು ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಆನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಡೋಲು ಹೊಡೆಯುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಯನ್ನು ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರದಂದು ಮತ್ತು ನವರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪೂಜೆಯು...
