KAGINELE PARK located in KAGINELE village, 2 kms from Kanakadasar temple. After COVID 19 there is no maintenance of park. Everywhere dry grass, no flowers, no toilets maintained. I loved this park in 2017 where full of green, flowers clean toilet etc but lack of maintenance and again its proved government failed to maintain the park after party changes. This was developed under Siddaramaiah Congress Government in 2016 and now recently I was shocked to see the park status. This is developed a Butterfly Park on 2 acres, identified over 60 species and five families of local and migratory butterflies earlier but due to lack of maintenance there are no butterflies. They charge 20 rs entrance ticket for adults, 10 rs children ticket. They charge camera 500 rs for photo shoot.

The government did a good job by developing this place dedicated to Shri Kanaka Dasa. The park showcases the sculptures depicting the life of Kanaka Dasa. It offers a pleasant and peaceful environment for the family to spend quality time with. The park is well maintained. Some construction work is still going on. Staff were courteous and allowed us to visit even after working hours. Cons: Don't allow vehicles especially the two wheeler inside the park. Stop selling ice cream and other food items. People are littering the place by throwing the wrappers and empty bottles. Restrict the use of plastic/ plastic bottles. There is no restaurant inside the park. Ample.car parking is available near the main gate.

Very big park. But neglected by development authority. No proper sign boards to visit the different places within the park. It's difficult to walk inside the park during sunny days. It's a 400 acres park and really big. So walking here during sunny day with out proper sign boards is difficult. There is a musical fountain show in the evening. But this is not created with latest technology..same old songs and one or 2 new songs. The fountain doesn't match with the music. Over all nice place but you don't have greater facilities here. No food canteens, snacks center. Washrooms are good. Mineral water facility is there.

Kaginele also known as "Kaginelli" (Kannada: ಕಾಗಿನೆಲೆ) is a village in the Byadagi taluk of Haveri district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is best known as the birthplace of Kanaka Dasa, a writer of religious poems and music, who also lived and wrote most of his works here. The "Keshava"(Krishna) temple is situated in Kaginele. Keshava was the family deity of Shri Kanaka Dasa. In August 2004, the Karnataka State Government decided to form the Kaginele Development Authority (KDA) to protect all the monuments and the documents related to Kanaka Dasa. Kaginele is the birthplace of Kanaka Dasa, also known as Kanakada, who is now venerated as a saint of the Kuruba Gowda community. Besides poems and songs, he wrote about philosophy and social issues, and worked as a social reformer in the village. The Keshava is a Krishna temple in the village dedicated to the family god of the Kanaka Dasa. The Keshava temple has a statue of Kanaka Dasa. In 2004, the Karnataka state government decided to protect all his work and monuments. Hence, the Kaginele Kanaka Guru Peetha (temple) was formed. The architecture is similar to almost all temples in the state of Karnataka with magnificently sculpted figures and idols.[1]

Kaginele has accommodation facilities for families, people and foreigners. Visitors to Kaginele Guru Peeta can learn about Saint Kanakadas's history, read devotional poems, hear devotional songs, and engage in other spiritual studies. Shri. Beerrendra Keshava Tarakananda Puri Swamy was the first guru to start developing this Kaginele Shri, giving spiritual and devotional lessons after studying Kanakadas's history.

Shri. Beerendra Swamiji organized a function in 2005, where people from all over Karnataka were able to share in his vision of developing Kaginele as a Maha Samstana. The result of this function resulted in the Shri. Kanakadas Kaginele Kshetra spiritual and devotional center plus an education institute for poor...

I felt it little bit expensive and all unwanted medicine not even medicine it's all supplements given which are too much expensive.. Food was not taste.. Needs a lot of maintenance. Area is vast, but due to low maintenance people are very less. All the plants are dying because there is no staff to look after them. Never visit this place during summers. No grass can be seen during summer. They have to actually maintain well during summers as people like to visit cooler greenery places but it's opposite here. They are ignorant about the plants and trees. Here the washrooms are not at all clean. So to be on safer side do not enter the toilets. No proper eateries available inside. You have to bring your own food and water. Also when people bring food, they will spill the food and leave, the staff here doesn't even clean it well. It was famous in the beginning when Siddaramaiah was the chief minister of Karnataka, but now...
