This is fantastic place for half day picnic. The nature is so excellent that you will really enjoy if you are a nature enjoyer! By the time we arrived at 4pm the temple was closed. Parking ticket is Rs.50 for cars.

The 4 star is only because the maintenance on the hill top is so bad that the maintenance officials themselves were burning plastic bottles and other stuffs in 2 places on the hill when we visited there. When asked he is saying what should I do with these wastages. Such an irresponsible answer. I don't know what do they do with the parking fees collected ! After visiting two of the view points we decided to go to wash room and it was so ugly that we came back just like that. I was shocked to see the community hall on the top of the hill! How could they construct a community hall like that? Who gave the permission to build one? It seems they had a party there and the place was stinking like anything with a pile of empty plastic bottles and waste food. This was so disgusting. The local officials should take care of this and ban such community hall if they have not indulged in it! We can clearly notice that the nature is getting spoiled here. I strongly oppose this. I have uploaded only those pictures showing the uglyness of mankind, but the hill is too good in...

Very nice place greenery filled bike riders place ... u can ride thru the rocks and get a classic cover pic for facebook but carry water bottles and snacks but dont spoil the nature keep clean.

Thimmappana Betta is all about twin rocks standing firmly on the top of an unexplored hill, is what I can brief in a nut shell. It is difficult to trek till twin rock but you can witness the early morning breathtaking view of the twin rock by a short trek/ride till the top of the hill right opposite to it.

These rocks are beautifully placed in the lap of mother nature in Ramnagar district, at a distance of 60-70 kms from IT-City Bangalore. Best season to visit this place is form October-February as the rocks will be hot and slippery during summer and rainy respectively.

There is a well maintained beautiful temple constructed at the basement of the hill where you can park your vehicles and visit the temple after trekking.

This place is less known hence less crowded. You can go for an early morning travel to breath in fresh air, enjoy greenery and photography to start a weekend peacefully. All that you get here is good view and excellent breeze so do carry food & water and please make sure not to...

I would recommend a trip to Thimappana Betta if you have exhausted the most likely hill spots around Bangalore like Antargange. This place is easy to reach on a bike, and a car too. Except the last 2 km, the other roads are good. Only the last 200m is a narrow stretch, which can be crossed only one car at a time. There's not much space for cars, so if you happen to visit on a busy day you may have a tough time finding a place to park. The spot is not very popular and that's when it is enjoyable. There's a temple, a small pond (not clean). There are big boulders and shrubs around. If you have the day to spare then you can start at one end of the boulder trail and keep walking to cross over to other hills nearby. The views around are not too scenic but they are a relief for the city bred. No good restaurants or eateries around and so is recommended to take your own food and water. On sunny days, you might need the umbrella. Good spot for a lazy trek, or if you want to sit on a hill, with the wind in your face, do a small picnic with the family and talk.
