Kote Abbey Falls was really good and not crowded, you can go very near to the water falls, you may have to take the route map before going, google map will end 10 km before and most of the mobiles will not have range. You have to pay ₹20 for parking but there is no parking place and you have to park on the road side. No one to guide you or take care and no fencing hence you should be very careful going near the falls especially with kids. There is a road from Kota Abbey Falls to Abbey falls my suggestion is not to try this, this road is very narrow and steap and goes over multiple mountains(mandalpetti road) Howeven if you were to go to kota abbey from abbey falls, there will be a jeep service that takes you to kota abbey through this road (mandalpetti road). I suggest the jeep service as going alone can be scary. The road is a four...

Madikeri boasts a beautiful and must-visit destination, Kote Abbey, where I had a delightful time with friends, capturing moments through photos and creating lasting memories. What's particularly appealing is that there are no parking fees at Kote Abbey, and the convenience was further complemented by the presence of nearby shops offering snacks. This added to the overall pleasant experience, allowing for a leisurely exploration of Kote Abbey without any logistical concerns. The combination of free parking and easy access to snacks enhances the visitor-friendly atmosphere, making it an even more enjoyable destination for those exploring the area. If you find yourself in Madikeri, it's highly recommended to explore Kote Abbey, an enchanting spot offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and enjoyable moments...

Visited this place while coming back from the mandalpatti. The jeep driver which we hired was eager to show this place so we went there. The fall is not big but when I visited it was just end of monsoon so the downpour was bit High. The approach to the fall is very easy and can be reached upto the fall by walking through small bushes. The flow of water is not that high. The water is very clean and ideal for good bath. The flow path is filled with stone so be cautious while entering the water fall zone. Slippery places are there due to algae growth. The water fall flow after the bridge is very clear and having some patches with sands which is ideal place to bath or just seat soaking ur legs in the calm water. Nice place to visit...
