This place was literally a haven when I visited two decades ago for the first time, still the nostalgic memories have never lasted. But drastically the beauty of this place is decreasing due to negligence and poor maintenance.Even the observation decks which were once fully filled with crowds rushing to sit or photoshoot there are now ghosted due to bushes and hardly one could find that there's a view point there. The vibes which were getting before has lost💔 The Only suggestion I can give is please maintain this area properly and allow this to public by charging certain price.I bet none would regret paying prices for relaxing and embracing the...
Read moreThis is a truly beautiful and peaceful place to visit, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Surrounded by green parks and playgrounds, it offers stunning views of the valley and the Suvarna River from the top. As the name suggests, it’s the endpoint of Manipal Hills and a popular spot to watch the sunrise or sunset. Many people come here for picnics, nature walks, or just to unwind with family and friends.
The park is very well-maintained and has plenty of seating areas, including benches and gazebos. There are even shaded spots under trees where you can sit, relax, or read a book. The walk to the garden and viewpoint is about 1 km from the gate, and it’s worth it for the beautiful scenery. It’s also a great place for photography, walking, or jogging.
The park has cricket and football grounds and is pet-friendly, making it a lively yet calm spot. The shortcut gate closes strictly at 6 PM, and the park is open only during specific times—6-8 AM and 4-6:30 PM—so avoid visiting during the day. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic location to relax and enjoy time with loved ones, this is the...
Read moreOne of the most beautiful places ive been to. Gives the much needed respite from ur daily life at mahe or wherever you are. The park is very well maintained and has three or more view points all around, some of which are forested due to inactivity during the covid times. The view points were not at a very good condition when i visited a few days back. The main view point is very forested, getting there is quite a task, you have to hike through the forest for a small distance, to reach the main view point, but as of yesterday there is not much to see, u can barely see the river. The other viewpoint overlooking udupi is much more crowded and easily accesible from the jogging track. Other than that there is one more view point on the opposite side of the park which is also quite forested but offers a slightly better view of the river. All of them would truly look breathtaking if the outgrown trees are cleared. But overall a very ambient and beautiful...
