Words can't describe the experience one get here, you should personally be here to feel it. My first Kayak themed trip and honestly one of the best trips I ever had.
Activity: Surfing, Kayaking, Wave Boarding, Hammock climbing, River visit, Sunrise or Sunset spot, campfire, etc etc etc. Sushant is one host who knows how to entertain you. super friendly at the same time best trainer, the activity required you to get trained and has little difficulty based on who you are but Sushant and team ensure you are super comfortable and ensure you do the activity with total confidence and happiness. try them you will enjoy it to the core.
Food: KISS (keep it sooo simple) but super yummy food, 5 Star for the food, doesn't have too many options but you will never ever complain about it, just rice, curry and papad will feel soo yummy and delicious. Must try is Tawa Fish, All Bread Toast, and all their drinks Spl. Cold Coffee, my friend drank 3 cups of cold coffee everyday morning that good it was. Fresh juice is super fresh and no complaints. I can't wait to come back and have Tawa Fish again.
Staff: Always smiling and wanting to help you, Sushant has worked hard to create a great crew who are friendly and helpful.
Place: Paradise in one word, everything is so perfect, location bang on backwaters filled with Coconut trees, cafe area, and open kitchen is easy to access. everything is handy and self-explanatory, just drop the location on google maps and blindly follow it, you don't need to call or get confused, the last 200 mtr will be narrow and you will be not sure if you are on the right path but trust the google map it will lead you to the heave for sure :-)
Crowd: At my visit, I had an easy-going crowd and it was fun being around them, everyone was connecting with each other and we all enjoyed doing the activity as a group, campfire brought all of us together to reflect on who we are and crack little jokes.
Alcohol: I bought a couple of dozen beers and a few bottles of alcohol and only to learn this place doesn't permit you to drink alcohol on camp, I was angry, sad, and disappointed but when you get a hang on to the place and experience it, you will come to realize it is better enjoyed without alcohol or with the limited dose of it. if you are looking for a holiday to over booze, party hard and to wake up with a headache then this is not the place.
Stay: You can stay in Camp or in Home Stay dom, we stayed in dom and it was clean and pleasant. no complaint about the stay as such and we had so many memories to take with us. Stay has work desk and power connectivity, but i suggest to take any hammock and work which is super relaxing and cool.
Connectivity:
Network: All possible network works here along with 4G and they also provide free internet, so you can work from here, taking video calls or downloading data will not be a problem, rather sitting in a closed room I would have my calls on a hammock with backwater background.
Transport: The place is fully connected and can be reached very easily, by all means, the auto comes to the spot or you can rent a cab. if you are coming in your own vehicle then a huge parking place is available.
Tips: Please take a hat with you (Sushant should start to sell them on camp) Sun-blockers must. pack all comfortable super dry cloths. Take waterproof cover & floater for mobile so you can still take them on your activity. Waterproof mini bag. flip-flops or waterproof shoes.
Will visit again very soon and...
Read moreSo far, I have visited this place twice in two months. And both the times I have been here were equally fun filled and joyous.💖👍 The first time, we tried to learn wave surfing at the local beach, just a few mins drive from the camp. It was a tiring yet an amazing experience😅. Before venturing into the sea, we had a warm up session and a small tutorial from the guide on the various aspects of the surfing board. I took me and others several attempts to successfully catch a wave and stand on the surf board. I would recommend you to take multiple surfing sessions to properly learn the skill. Also, a necessary note on all the trainers and guides at Kayakboy. All of them are certified and have good experience to teach the skills and to tackle any accidents. The second time I visited, was a much more surreal experience. I witnessed the magical phenomenon of bioluminescence, right in the river. We started in our kayaks at around 1 AM and watched the river glow blue. A gentle touch from our hands over the water and the blue color appeared from now where! Totally magical!! We returned to the camp after an hour or so and dozed off in the tents and dormitory alloted to us. Next day, by 7 we went for the 5km kayaking around the island. Before setting off, we were properly briefed about the safety aspects, kayak riding techniques and other tips. We were 5 of us, assisted by a guide. It was a very leisure tour around the river, and witnessed the glorious sunrise from the east. It took around 2 hours to return. The guide took photos for all of us. Once we came back, had a good meal at the cafe. I had a panneer sandwich and tea, along with some fruits. There are eggs and non veg options as well. After a happy breakfast asking with friends, I dropped this review which you have patiently read so far, to earn a badge of your choice! That's right! All you have to do is to drop a review on Google maps and choose from the 9 different varieties of badges kept there. If you have been to kayak boy and participated in any activity, request the photos via WhatsApp. It will be sent to you within the next day. You can also try slack lining, volleyball, trampoline or just chill out in the hammocks. Also, the entire premises is covered with wifi. Head to their website for more details on the different activities that you can try when...
