I visited this a week ago and during noon time and there were only a few people around. You need an entry ticket that charges you 15/- rs per person to enter this place and accepts only cash. The place is divided into 2 sectors. Next to the ticket counter is the Tree park and opposite to it is the kadalakere theme park.

Tree park - It's a family picnic place where you can enjoy sight seeing and boating. Pedal Boating charges around Rs.150/- for two people for 25min and electric boating charges around Rs. 250-300/- depending on short or long distance. If you are interested in boating then the best time to visit is from the month of October to December. Since in other months due to climate the water level will go low and the boating area will not be active. There are good photoshoot places within and i got quite good pics for insta too. This place also includes varieties of Bamboo trees and medicinal park and have a clean walking path to cover them all. Better to finish the tour before sunset as you can be a dinner for mosquitos 🤠.

Kadalakere park - Place was not crowded at all given i visited on a week day. The place is as it says it's a park. Mainly it's an activity area for the childrens. Slides, swings, physical activity area. Any family who visits with children no doubt this would be a full package of entertainment. The place was very quiet so i got some good reels and pics as well 😎. Mainly for children and family.

Anyways there is no food or souvenir available here nor anywhere near by to this place. It's better to carry some light snacks and water bottles of your own. This place has given shelters to college bunk students and lovers who can be found here and there near boating and the park area. There is no special parking place but there is enough space right outside the counter to park vehicles. Good for a...

A must visit place in Manipal. Well maintained and managed creating environmental awareness by Forest Dept. Can spend typically 2 hrs. Monday is a holiday. Timings is 10AM to 6:30PM with nominal entry fee of Rs. 20 for people above 12 years (Below 5 years - no fees, below 12 years - Rs. 10). There is a canteen, restroom, parking area and drinking water facilities. Good place for an evening walk in cool green & peaceful environment. Portrays many local cultural activities like Kambala, Bhootha Kola, Yakshagana, Huli Vesha. A small amphitheatre, a good walking/jogging track with many Sitting benches on both the sides of the track. Children Play Area includes slides, swings, see saw, rope walking, rope climbing, rope sliding etc. Great spot for photography and Nature Lovers.

A beautiful place to spend some time with nature in the city... The place is well developed... It's shady and cool even in this harsh summer, which is definitely an upside. The kids play area is really good. Needs a little more attention with the maintenance. Some parts of the area are damaged and need repair. But considering the climatic conditions of our zone and also the lack of income generated from entry fees (which is very less, Rs 20 per adult) Since I visited during mid summer,I could not see the waterfall, which I presume would be very nice during winter. Overall a very good effort and well made...
