Satya Anantham — Attraction in Karnataka

The reason I've given only 4 stars is that this place can get even better and has a lot of potential! With a previous horse riding safari experience with the same team before the place was formally opened, I was surprised when I revisited the place for my second safari on 2nd April. The place has been reformed completely, and is now set to resemble a horse riding ranch like the ones we see in western movies, but with a distinct local touch in terms of materials used that blend with the surroundings of the place beautifully.

The location, foothills of Nandi Hills, is breathtaking. A place like this, with a drive shorter than my office commute, is a blessing for Bangaloreans like me.

The arrangements for the safari were thorough and well thought through. The team at Satya Sports Village is very attentive, passionate and considerate towards their guests. And yes, 'guests' and not 'customers'.

And finally the horses and the riding. Beautiful Indian breeds that are ideally suited for cross-country terrains. Definitely a unique experience so close to home. One will have to travel several hundred kilometers to experience something similar. All the more reason to attend their next set of trail rides. No better way to spend a Sunday morning.

Nestled at the foot of Nandi Hills, this beautiful resort offers plenty - adventure, rustic comfort and warm hospitality. Annapoorna and Sachin Kamath, who run the place themselves along with their young sons, personally ensure that guests are well looked after and comfortable. The equestrian block is a highlight feature, with stables built in the historic style of Tipu Sultan. You are transported back in time into the era of the fiercely famous Mysore Lancers. At dawn, mount up on a beautiful Marwari horse and explore the beautiful, fresh countryside, galloping along Tipu's ancient path, through flowering lantana and lakes. This was my experience, and more. Unforgettable. A huge 'Thank You' to gracious hosts Annapoorna and Sachin. An absolute 'must visit'....

We at UnexploredClub are very particular about quality and service that we offer our clients and were in pursuit of a trustworthy partner for our treks and other outdoor events around Nandi hills. We were referred to Satya Sports Village by a close friend. SSV has a soothing ambience. The dining area and the washrooms are beautifully done while still retaining the natural surroundings. The stable adds a nice touch to the place. It was a pleasure interacting with Aditya, Madhu and team. We loved their hospitality. We recommend this place for families and kids as alcohol & tobacco is strictly prohibited on the property. Kids would love to see the horses in the stables.
