Shri Jwalamukhi Tripura Sundari Amma Temple — Attraction in Karnataka

Presiding deity is Jwalamukhi Tripurasundari ( sister of Goddess Chamundeshwari). Other deities consecrated in the temple or Siddeshwaraswami & Chandikeshwaraswamy. Temple is being renovated.

It is 5kms from JP Nagar, 3.2 kms from JP Nagar RIng road & Bandipalya traffic junction towards Manipal Hospital. O.5 Kms from Ring road

Ample car parking space, but it needs to be asphalted or to be made concrete.

Difficult for wheel bound devotees, with support from relatives or with request from staff, vehicle can be driven to temple footsteps & can get down.

Dasoha ( tradition of offering food to devotees) now stopped for last two years due to pandemic.

Temple timings: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM to 8:30PM

One can visit temple leisurely & seek blessings of Almighty. Friday's & Amavasya day's it will be rush.

Another temple is situated at the foothill which is in Utthanahalli called as Jwalamalini Sri Tripura Sundari Temple. This goddess is considered the sister of Chamundeshwari who helped her at the battlefield to slay the demon Raktabīja. It is believed that the idol in this temple was installed by the Wodeyar dynasty. The idol is made of a combination of 5 metals and is placed in the inner sanctum sanctorum. She is depicted with an extended tongue similar to that of Goddess Kali The religious significance of this place is quite strong as it is believed that Goddess Sati's right foot fell here during Lord Shiva's dance of cosmic destruction.
