Shri Shantheri Kamakshi Temple — Attraction in Karnataka

Visited the temple in August 2018. Took a bus from Mumbai to Bhatkal and the bus driver dropped me right at byepass road leading to 5 min walk to the temple. The temple is close (Rs50 by auto) to Bhatkal junction railway station too. The temple has priests who do authentic rituals and were very welcoming for a first time visitor like me. There is an office attached to temple where you can pay for pujas or sponsor sevas all of which were very reasonably priced. The temple has modern new rooms to stay just a block behind temple for GSB community members to stay at Rs500 regular and Rs800 air condition. The room and bathroom was modern and could match any 3 or 4 star hotel. After the noon aarti the temple closes around 1 pm and opens around 5 pm. You can take an auto to Murdeshawar temple about 30 min away and beach to see some amazing stuff and make your trip more memorable. Overall an amazing spiritual visit for me from all the...

This temple belongs to Konkani speaking GSB community with more than 600years of history...located just 2kms from railway station and well connected to bus stand.... no parking facility in temple...it is equipped with AC/No AC rooms with 24x7 hot water & power facility..clean & hygiene.... people travelling from mangalore, Goa, Mumbai, Kerala better to take train which is best option....after temple Sevas & darshan you can visit Bhatkal Dubai market (just 500mtrs) for shopping of imported items like chocolates, perfumes,cosmetics, electronic goods at throw away rates... Big festivals held during Navaratri...
