Hole Anjaneya temple is situated on the banks of river Shimsha in Maddur of Mandya district. Distance from Bangalore to Maddur is approximately 81 kms and from Mysore it is around 63 kms. It is said that Hanumantharaya as called by people there was installed by sri vyasarajaru and sripadarajaru. this temple is said to be around 550 years old of vijaynagara empire. Two fingers of this idol is very long and he is holding sougandhika flower, his tail has bells and he has sun and moon on his head. It is sais that this idol has been growing 1/2 inch from past 6 to 7 years. As per purohit of this temple different sounds of conch and bells are heard during lunar eclipse in closed doors of the temple.

Another important fact about this temple is that if one holds 1 rupee and 25 paise coin in hand and pray to lord of one's wishes, the keep the coin near lord's feet his wishes are fulfilled. Mantra of this Anjaneya to be recited daily108 times Anjani garbha samboota sugriva sachivothamma ramapriya namasthubhyam hanuman pahimam sadaa. Devotees visit this temple on Tuesdays with 5 bananas and do 5 pradikshanas for their well being.

The temple gives prasadam (for free) after the afternoon puja. The temple priests stay near the temple premise. They will open the temple in the afternoons if a huge group of people come for darshan...

This is one of the Lord Hanuman temple on the river bank at Maddur in Mandya Dist.of State of Karnataka. The uniqueness of the temple is Lord Hanuman is placed on the bottom n root of the people tree which one can worship freely without any hindrance with tulasi leaves flowers n incense sticks besides doing aarati by yourselves. You can also worship lord kalabirava (told it was fetched from the river), subramanya Ganesha and lord Srinivasa, Sri krisha along with haridasas. It is a rare temple to visit pray n have the blessings of so many gods in one place. For any of your problem solving you can pick up a 25 paise coin placed there n contribute your amount as per your wish n capacity n prey faithfully n put both the coin n your money to a bowl placed there . When your problem is taken care by the lord you can once again visit the temple to complete your owes. Some more cleanliness n parking place has to be improved for the benefit...

Hole Anjaneyaswamy Temple is situated on the bank of Shimshanadi river in Maddur, Mandya district. This is located little away from Bangalore Mysore highway. One of the important religious place. It is said that Sripadaraja and Sri Vyasaraja, consecrated the idol. It is said to have been built during the reign of the Vijayanagar kings between 1450 and 1498. The speciality of this place is that one with unfulfilled rightful wishes can seek the blessings of Anjaneya by dropping a coin of 25 paise (given at the temple). On fulfillment of the wish, one has to go back and pay obeisence to Anjaneya. You also have Venkateshwara swamy, Krishna idols and Bhagavadgita mandir in the temple premises.
