My friend (Kerala) recommended this temple for its spiritual power and I referred Google/Instagram reviews. I followed the google map, but I got lost. Airtel's network is not available along the off-road (3.6 kilometers) from the main road (3rd turning point in picture). Therefore, follow the Google map for Varasiddi Vinayaka PU College until the main gate (second turning point). A third turning point towards the temple (3.6 km off road) signboard is visible around 0.7km from the main gate. This is in between forest, didn't see anyone nearby. This off road has one and the last (fourth turning point with signage) close to the temple. Off-road driving is not bad, though there are uphill/downhills, slippery surfaces, hard laterite, and blind spots with lots of cars and bikes (weekdays are better). As part of the seva order, one has to stand in the water and receive prasadam (fish rush at you). From the cave, nice cold water flows. According to the priest, there is one udbhava Shiva lingam in the water (front of the pooja lingam) and another 70 feet behind the cave. It takes 1:45 hours to drive 68Kms from Udupi City.
