I don't have appropriate words to thank the owner and the employees of Quarry Adventures for helping us out and guiding us at every part of the activity. So I'm diving my review into parts so that every aspect is covered.
Safety Equipment and Pre-Activity Preparation The safety equipment were more than adequate. And to my surprise this is the only place so far which is very hygienic. They provide you head caps, so that your hair doesn't get stuck in the helmet. Gloves are provided to help you with treetop and zip lining activities.
Apart from the safety equipment, they provide you a bag to keep all your belongings, gloves and a sealed water bottle.
Adventure Activities (Rs.1999 for All activities) A mountain climb type of walk(just a pun) is required before performing the following activities. There are five activities clubbed together as treetop adventures namely wobbling bridge, pole walk, twin cable, tyre bridge, giant hammock. All the activities are an experience of their own.
Then there is zip lining which was also amazing. Originally, they had 2 zip lining where one of them is for practice for new people followed by another one after that where you can stop midway to enjoy the view. Now they are planning to open a 3rd line as well very soon.
Finally, Mountain climbing and rappelling are the best to end this amazing experience. They are also starting new mountain climbing point for experts as this is for beginners(although i didn't feel like it was for beginners).
Post Activity Experience There is a nice seating place where a swing, a tyre and some other good things are in place to comfort you after the activity is over. We also happened to spot some puppies which made our already good day, better.
Payments The payments were hassle free as well. They have a facility to pay through card if you are out of cash with no extra charges.
Bookings are recommended for weekends but for weekdays just give them a call before arriving so that they can prepare beforehand.
Once again i would thank all the staff and the owner for such a...
Read moreA little more adventure never hurts - a must for everyone planning to visit Coorg!
Coorg for us was all about coffee estates, coffee testing and relax. I love adventure and always try to add some thrill to my trips. Visiting Quarry Adventure was definitely worth it.
We did zip lining, rock climbing, full circuit adventure. It was crazy and one of the best way to enjoy the other side of Coorg. I saw the quarry for the first time and that itself was an amazing experience. Zip lining over the quarry added another level to it. The team is well equipped with gears and will take care of your safety in the best possible way. Sidharth was extremely supportive and pushed me when I was calling it a quit. He also helped us with photos when we were busy adventuring. What more do you need :P
The sunset from the top is beautiful again. I will recommend you to either start early in the morning or late afternoon. It can get too hot in the afternoon (only during summers). 10 out of 10 for facilities, team’s etiquette and supporting staff.
Quarry has a cosy cafe at the base. Vintage and old kinda chair, Garden around, and DIY decor. The food is good too. If you are not into adventure, visit the place for the...
Read moreHad a wonderful experience overall. My wife and me went during March. Although it was sunny, the summit was quite shady and cool despite midday sun. After registration at the foothill and a small ‘trek’ for 5 minutes, we reached a base camp where we were geared up based on the activities we chose.
We could either zip-line down from the base camp without any other activity, or go for another small (but steep) trek to reach the summit where we had treetop adventures. We chose to go for further activities
Options we had (at the second summit) were Treetop adventure set (obstacle course with 6 activities) Get down using zip-lines Get down by rappelling
We chose treetop adventure course and then decided to rappel down to the base camp. We were accompanied by Mr Subbu who was very friendly, had good knowledge of the know-hows of the various gear, and excellent in teaching us the basics. He also volunteered to be our photographer, so thanks to him for that.
Would recommend to anyone in decent physical shape looking for...
