A pleasant view in between the lush green forest ..this falls is located in Hosangadi. The way to reach this falls is on google map and it shows the exact location, just follow the google map and you will land on this glittering beauty. You have to cross a Varahi Checkpost to reach the falls - there is no such charges charged for crossing the checkpost. Upon arrival, there were some forest officials at the falls, stating no one should get down and if they attempt to do - they will be charged 200 per person. This was not updated anywhere on any forum, so we had no idea about this warning. We had travelled so far jzt for this πŸ™ƒ - we started our bargaining 🀣 Then at last he agreed for 500rs for 4 people altogether and let us visit the falls.

Forest officials should mention this warning at the entrace of falls. So we would simply not waste our travel time visiting the places we are not allowed😁. Entrance fee still sounds good and valid, whereas the warning fee doesn't sound valid visiting a falls.

The falls was a bliss, cascading waterfall and the water was clean as well.

Kindly dont litter the place, get your garbage with you and throw it away in any dustbin available. Roads and sideways aren't your dumping ground, they are used to travel.

Later the officials wrote some reciept stating the charges and all. The end.

Do visit this falls with your friends and family, kids can play around as its not so deep and doesnt need any trek, jzt walk for 2mim and your...

Thombattu Falls or irkiGedde or Abbi Gundi Waterfalls which is in the place called Thombattu, Karnataka it is around 60-kms away from kundapura. Roads are good till you reach thombattu but after that 4 Wheeler cannot go but bike riders can easily find their way till falls. The thmbattu falls is one of the beautiful falls i have ever visited. of-course it is not the bigger one but to spend some times with friends and family its one of the best place. please note down that this falls can be visited during rainy season better to go at the end of rainy season, No hotel or any other shops nearby make sure that you carry your food and water, some times its mandatory to take permission from forest officer to enter because water falls is slippery and no safety and security provided by anyone. Overall one of the best place to enjoy. Its calm and clear, please do visit with your friends and family. ...

It's a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Monsoon would be the best time to visit. However I paid a visit in Jan month. Though the water flow was less, it is still good enough to enjoy yourself in the water and then lay down on rocks under the sun to dry yourself up. Lots n lots of greenery all around. You can follow Google maps to navigate to this place. The track leads right to the waterfall. Needs no trek. Even four wheelers can reach this spot. Further down the stream from the waterfall you have a natural pool to enjoy yourself. You can have a free fish spa if you'd like. The road leading to this place is good. So no worries. It is slippery at certain points. Else it's...
