We took the package of Rupees 850/- per person (for kids between the age 3 to 12, the package cost was 550/-). This package includes breakfast, visit to the garden, juice, watermelon, unlimited meals (lunch) and some activities and evening snacks.
Summarizing our experience below. Some observations are in comparison with Agadi thota, another place near by where we visited in Feb 2023.
It was a hot day and we were made to wait outside for quite sometime although there were kids (2 kids above 3 years, 1 aged over an year, another aged over 2 years and a 5 month baby) with us. They could have allowed us inside the premises so kids could have relaxed under shade until we got the entry tickets. Or they could have setup some waiting area with proper shade.
Welcome was sour, with just a little jaggery. Any cold natural beverage like lemon juice, tender coconut water or any fruit juice at welcome would have helped as it's summer.
After welcome, breakfast was served at the restaurant inside premises. The breakfast was unlimited and decent. It included idly, vada, dosa, a sweet dish, tea/coffee.
After breakfast we visited the garden which has a lot of statues. This tour took almost about 2 hours. This part of the package was worth it as the statues and the setup gave a glimpse into the traditional countryside lifestyle. In the middle of this tour, we were provided with some juice, we did not like it much anyways. Then we continued the visit. On the way we were given JUST ONE SLICE of watermelon per person whoever had the package ticket. Kids below 3 years were not given the watermelon. Upon enquiring they told any extra slice is on payable basis. This was very disappointing as in Agadi Thota, another such place we visited before, everyone was given unlimited slices of watermelon including for the kids without ticket.
Lunch was unlimited buffet with north Karnataka style food. I would say that the quality of food was not that great considering the package cost.
After lunch, we were loaded into a tractor ;) and were taken for the next set of activities - bullock cart ride and tanga ride - this was good, we enjoyed. photos with traditional costumes - they had only punjabi and rajasthani costumes. The costumes were not well maintained. boating - we enjoyed boating. zip lining - this was good. other rope actitities. water activities - this included 3 slides and rain dance, both were good.
After all the activities snacks - churumuri and mirchi bajji was arranged, it was awful. This ends the package tour and were dropped back for the exit.
Additionally there was a magic show, while exiting we were given ಹುಣಸೆ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಚಿಗಳಿ only for the persons with ticket and nothing for kids less than 3 years who don't need tickets.
Another important thing - they don't have a parking facility inside their premises. Adjacent to their premises they have a place to park the vehicles and you have to pay the parking charges separately.
All in all there was some...
