Vatadahosahalli Lake is such a vibe, man! The ride itself is a blast—smooth roads, open skies, and just that perfect stretch to cruise on. If you leave Bangalore around 3:30 or 4 PM, you’ll get there by 5, just in time for the sunset. Trust me, that golden hour glow over the lake? Unreal. Totally worth it.

When I got there, it was pretty chill. People had their picnic setups going—mats, speakers, snacks—just relaxing and soaking it all in. It’s such a cool spot to just hang out, kick back, and enjoy the peace.

But yeah, the trash situation kinda sucks. Like, why do people have to ruin it? Plastics and wrappers everywhere. If you’re going, do your part—don’t leave your junk behind. Keep it clean, bro.

The roads are safe, even if you’re riding with women. Night rides? Totally doable, but don’t push it. Once the sun’s down, it gets dark real quick, and it’s a remote area, so help isn’t exactly around the corner.

Don’t go too fast, and start heading back before it gets too late. No point risking it.

Honestly, this place is so cool right now, but I feel like it won’t stay that way if people keep messing it up. Go, enjoy the ride, vibe with the place, but don’t be the one ruining it for everyone else. It’s one of those spots that makes you feel alive, you know? Just respect it so we can all keep...

I’m extremely disappointed with the recent experience at the Vatadahosahalli lake, which has sadly deteriorated due to the irresponsible operations of a company called Escape2Explore. What was once a serene and beautiful natural spot has now become polluted and chaotic, primarily due to the water sports activities they run—especially speed boating, which uses harmful fuels that are clearly polluting the lake.

Not only is there visible environmental damage, but the staff members of this company were also incredibly rude and unprofessional. Their behavior towards visitors was inappropriate and dismissive, completely ruining what should have been a peaceful outdoor experience.

Worse still, Escape2Explore does not follow even the most basic safety protocols. There was no signing of any waiver forms with ID verification, and at no point were customers properly accompanied or guided during the water activities—an alarming oversight for a natural water body like this one.

It’s disheartening to see such negligence both towards people’s safety and the environment. This lake was once a gem, but the careless actions of companies like this are stripping it of its beauty and safety. I sincerely hope authorities take action before...

✅Around 90km fromBengalur ✅Perfect for an early morning or fantastic sunset ride ✅Calm serene no crowd when we visited on Sunday-26th Feb 2023 ✅The lake is huge and rain fed. Beautiful picnic location. ✅Nothing much to do .. just sit relax and enjoy ✅Now is the season of beautiful sunset ✅Eat your lunch on Bangalore- Hyderabad highway( will be sharing details on a cute little cafe where we had some amazing food) ✅If travelling during monsoon , do not lake bed will be full without a place to sit and relax because of high water levels ✅You can combine this place with a hike to Gudibande Fort

Things to take care of before visiting- ❌DO NOT LITTER. ITS A BEAUTIFUL SERENE LOCATION SO RESPECT NATURE. ❌The lake is huge and deep, DO NOT VENTURE INTO IT . There is no one around. ❌CARRY YOUR OWN FOOD AND WATER as nothing is available near by. ❌No shade areas available . So afternoon will be blazing hot sun.

Beautiful lake approx 2.5 hr drive from Bengaluru . Near 6km from @gudibande fort. This place is windy and so natural . Where we stopped , it was not a paved road towards the lake , so we parked Cars on side of road as the unpaved road leading to lake is not drivable, and anyway it was just 25 meters walk from road to the lake. Not bad for playing in water. Few would say it's muddy , but it's not unhealthy.. I went knee deep water area to play with my nephew who was enjoying quite a great swimming time in open lake...😍 Huge rocky mountains and green natural vegetation will welcome you and great weather is just added bonus. Note: Keep your food and water handy. As you won't find regular shop in around 10km radius. Happy tripping 🥂 13.6962° N, 77.6515° E
