Absolutely stunning and peaceful! Nidan Waterfalls is a hidden gem nestled amidst nature, and if you’re someone who enjoys offbeat travel or serene places away from the city buzz, this one is a must-visit.

The journey to reach the falls is part of the adventure itself. The roads leading up to the area are scenic — you’ll pass through local villages, greenery, and a few narrow roads which add to the rustic charm. If you’re riding or driving, make sure your vehicle is in decent condition since the last stretch might get a bit bumpy, especially during the monsoon. Parking is usually done along the roadside or in makeshift spaces nearby, so travel light if possible.

Once you reach, the sound of the water rushing down into the valley hits you — it’s calming and powerful at the same time. The waterfall isn’t extremely tall, but it’s wide and full of energy, especially during and just after the monsoon season. The water was crystal clear when I visited, and the surrounding rocks and small pools made it a perfect spot to dip your feet or even sit down and just relax. Some people even go for a light splash or bath, but be cautious as some rocks are slippery.

The greenery around the waterfall is lush and dense, and the cool mist in the air makes it feel like you’re in a completely different world. There’s also a small trail that lets you explore the area around the fall — perfect for those who love light trekking or photography. Trust me, your phone or camera will be working overtime here!

It’s also a great place to picnic with friends or family. I saw a few groups enjoying homemade food on mats under the shade of nearby trees. Just make sure you carry your trash back — the beauty of this place depends on how responsibly we treat it.

Important tips: Carry water, wear grippy footwear (those rocks can be tricky), bring a small towel or cloth if you’re planning to splash around, and don’t forget to charge your phone/camera — you’re going to want to capture a lot of memories.

Overall, Nidan Waterfalls is not just a destination — it’s an experience. It reconnects you with nature, helps you unplug from the digital mess, and offers pure, raw beauty that’s hard to find these days. Highly recommended for nature lovers, peace seekers, and anyone wanting a break from...

Nidan waterfall has a beautiful atmosphere as well as scenic beauty..about 500m-800msomething you have to walk through the forest after parking the car in parking area where the police also present there and instruct you to not to take bath there in waterfall and river as there is lot of chances to slip while climbing and bath and sometimes there's rush of water coming from upside in waterfall makes trouble but many people still going there to do that stuffs ..The rainy season has its own beauty here when a lot of water is pouring from the waterfall otherwise during the summer season there's dry or a little water but comparatively safe...Best place to go with friends as well as family outings ...I went there with my college friends and it was fun there and having a good memory...But please be safe there when going during the rainy season as there is a high chance of slipping and drowning under the water! Otherwise it's all...

Nidan Falls, Katangi Jabalpur is a very Fantastic Place to visit. Reaching this place is full of adventures. Firstly, this is a seasonal fall.(from July to Nov)depends upon rainfall. How to reach this place? From Jabalpur, you can go by Bike, car or bus to Katangi (approx. 40km).I will prefer you to go by Bike. Just after Crossing main road of Katangi, you will see a Mosque where you have to take left turn if you are coming from jabalpur. You will encounter a series of mountains.Just go ahead on Kacha road.(Ask localites if confused and buy some snacks from them) After reaching you need to climb Rocky mountain (Trekking)and you can see this beautiful scene of natural waterfall.

NOTE- Wear sports shoes and take drinking water with you. Be cautious while climbing steep as it is full of rocks. Take care of children. You can visit this place with family...
