Amazon view point — Attraction in Kerala

Amazon View point got it's name due to similarity of the scene with Amazon forest. This beautiful view point is situated approximately 5 to 7kilometer from Othayi a small village in Edavanna Panchayath

At present there is no entry pass, one can reach here by local bus from areacode, manjeri, or nilambur bus standand get down at edavanna bustop from there by local bus to othayi by auto. If you are coming by own vehicle you need to park your vehicle in roadside of chathalur from where the real way to amazon view point starts.

Local 4 wheel drive jeeps are available from tuesday to sunday at rate of 800-1200 for family and in peek time like sunday and holiday per person to couples.

I suggest you go for a walk with an energy drink for approx 2KM because the road is paved with concrete but poth holes are present with hard Humps for every 500mtr

Bikes can be used to reach approx 1^1/2Km after that 30minutes you need to walk to see the scene of chaliyar river semi circle scene from hill view

At present a medium juice shop is working with normal juice and tea plus normal local snacks with afordable price of 15rs per tea

At the top the view is mind blowing but there is no security measures and the edge is so dangerous and if fall down will cause death

Best Time for view is from 6am to 9am and after that sunny atmospher with semi cloud which disturbs photo sessions.

In the evening you can have the sunset but try to get down by 5:30 because of disturbance from forest animals like snakes, weed etc

The area is non lit and waste materials thrown in the path

The way to the view point is through private property and through forest property

Bikers be cautios while moving down since the roads back is steep and no traction

Suggest not to go on monday and off days becaz mondays very few visitors and security issues is a problem other day crowd is th problem.

But the hard jounery to top view will always give to a mind blowing...
