Happy Land Water Theme park is the place to be when you want to be relaxed and happy irrespective of seasons and occasions. It doesn’t matter if you are seeking a body and soul rejuvenating experience or the mind boggling excitement of a family picnic. Happy Land Water theme park is the ideal location for an outing or other family and business functions. The mesmerizing location and the thrilling rides at Happy Land Water Theme park carry you away to an amusing world of joy and fun.

Located a few kilometers away from the capital city Thiruvananthapuram Happy Land Water Theme Park, spreads over a larger area on hillside blended with architectural and natural beauty. This exotic location is situated in Vembayam, the outskirts of Trivandrum city.

And Happy Land is an NRI project.

The city Trivandrum enriched with the royal heritage, is built over the undulating terrain of seven coastal hills and encapsulates beautifully the charm of Kerala. Clean and well-planned it has an abundance of red-tiled roofs, never-ending stretches of palm trees, mazes of narrow, winding streets and above all an endless shoreline. It is an ancient city with a tradition dating back to 1000 BC when it was the capital of the Raja of Travancore in 1750. In recent years the city has grown as a tourist and commercial destination, with its international airport becoming the main gateway to Kerala.

The only tourist attraction which this royal city lacked is a water theme and amusement park, today this attraction is added to the tourist map of the Trivandrum City by Happy Land Water Theme Park which is situated with in natures lap among trees rocks and water falls. Happy Land Amusement Park is filled with many amusement options, out of which some are exclusively found in Happy Land, eg Mini “Kuttalam”, Colombus, Uphill Drive to name a few. Kids Village, family entertainments and much more awaits you at Happy Land Water Theme Park a memorable experience to...

The water rides are decent. The water is clean. Not too much chlorine. There are dry rides and activities, which will be recommended before the water rides, because you cannot get on those dry rides with wet clothes. But, if you don't care about the dry rides, you can completely skip them and go directly to the water rides. There is no photography or video recording allowed in any of the water play areas.

Lunch is not bad, but get there early if you want fish curry meals or veg meals. Lunch portions are large enough to be shared between two people. My advice is to order small and then add more if needed.

Baggage lockers are available in two sizes — small and large. The large lockers (₹100 each) can accommodate about 2-3 medium size backpacks. The small lockers (₹50) are about half the size of the large ones. Locker rooms are available for large groups (of 20+ people), but these are limited.

There are no drinking water stations, but water bottles and snacks (including ice cream) are sold at MRP. There are sufficient bathrooms available, including showers and changing stalls.

Friendly and helpful staff. The dining area tends to get very wet, but the staff try their best to keep it clean and safe.

Plenty of parking space is available just outside the park, but it is not a paved parking lot. The small road that leads to the park from the main road is easy to miss, and it is quite narrow. It can be challenging, but even large buses manage to drive in. So, slow down before that narrow entrance and...

Whoever invented water theme parks needs a real pat in the back coz he has succeeded in giving millions and millions of people an avenue for wholesome entertainment for a full day irrespective of the age factor. These theme parks made a very late entry to this little state of Kerala, prior to which the closest one to Keralites was Black Thunder. The best water theme park is Kerala is undoubtedly Vega Land and its popularity has resulted in making this place little bit crowdy.

The capital city of the state - Thiruvananthapuram was bestowed with the first water theme park only 4 years ago. The park is christened "Happy Land". Eventhough it cannot be in no means compared with Vega land, it sure does give enough oppurtunities for an exciting day. Let us take a tour of this new water theme park created amidst very beautiful landscape towards the Eastern part of Thiruvananthapuram.

HappyLand is located around 25Kms from the Heart of the city. The drive through Kesavadasapuram, Nalanchira, Vembayam route via the Main Central road is a twisty one and it sets up the tone for the day. Watch out for the board of Happy land towards the right side (when coming from South) as it is quite easy to miss this one and...

A good water theme/amusement park available in Trivandrum. There are a few land rides and water rides, most of them looked old, and needed upgrade. There is a splash pool which is maintained well and a wave pool which is functional after 2 PM only. Entry ticket rate was Rs.540 per person (Ticket should be taken for kids above certain height). Locker/Changing rooms are available, where you can keep your belongings there and go handsfree through all the land rides first and then come back for the water rides. No additional ticketing for individual rides inside. For really small kids there is a park inside towards the left from splash pool. Tea/coffee/snacks bar is available inside. Enough and more parking space is also there. Also on the day of our visit it was really sunny, so better to have hats. Over all a good park but the rides looks old! Ambience is nice and surroundings are clean and maintenance is good.

Situated in Vembayam (Trivandrum), Happy Land can be classified as an average waterpark where you can spend roughly a half day. The park is quite old and consists of both dry rides and water rides. The dry rides are quite boring with the exception of 'The Bull' and 'The Swings'. There are about 6 water attractions including the wave-pool, pendulum etc. None of the water rides will potentially get you an adrenaline surge. The staffs working there aren't really friendly either. Food options are limited inside the park, but whatever is available is made with quality. This park is definitely not a must-visit place, but it can be surely a place of enjoyment and fun with a group of friends! The ticket rates(Rs. 550 on weekdays and Rs. 590 on weekends) are cheaper when compared to the other water parks owing to their small area and limited number of rides.

We visited happy land in Feb 2024. It's quite an old water theme park in trivandrum and has lot of activities for children. Ample parking is available and it's mostly visited by school outing groups. The locker rooms are available along with changing rooms and washrooms. The cleanliness levels at the changing rooms and washrooms was bad and best avoided if possible. The pools were crowded but were managed well by the staff. The adult slides were mostly empty but were quite good. There are also some dry rides like columbus which was also not very crowded. The wave pool was disappointing and was operated only for 15 minutes twice a day. Overall a good place but it needs a lot of regular cleaning of the washrooms and changing rooms.
